Eat Ham, Not Turkey!

Eat Ham Not Turkey

Meet my friend, Templeton Turkey.  Every year around Thanksgiving, he tirelessly campaigns for Americans to “eat ham, not turkey!”  Poor Templeton – even as he pleads “Why not try ham this year?” – he knows he is fighting a losing battle!

According to the National Turkey Federation, turkey consumption has increased 108% since 1970.  Few birds are as lucky as Courage, the 45-pound turkey who made history today by becoming the first recipient of an Obama presidential pardon.  While Courage will now spend the rest of his life in “peace and tranquility” at Disneyland, most of his counterparts will not be as lucky.  Tomorrow, 95% of Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional turkey feast!

The products used to create today’s card include Sweet N Sassy Stamps; Tombow Markers; CTMH Ink Pads and Brads; My Mind’s Eye Frame Ups; Prima Flowers; and Bling It On Kit from QVC.

You too Christina! We almost added ham but decided we had plenty of food so we're just doing turkey this year!
