House of Treasure

Today’s card is the second ATC I’ve created in what appears to be turning into a series of house-shaped ATCs!  I created this card for Linda Abby for a recent shaped-ATC swap.  You can view the first card in the series by clicking on House of Dreams, House of Hope.

Although the design elements used in the two ATCs may appear similar – both feature flowers, an image from Altered Pages, and word stamps from Just Rite Stamps – I carefully picked each element with the recipient in mind.  I went through each image I owned before selecting the right one for the cards.  I poured flowers over my desk and played with combination after combination before I chose the ones I wanted to layer.  I dug out the bling box and experimented with various sizes and colors of sparkle.  I went through tons and tons of stamps before I chose the right words to include on the cards.

How do you know when all the pieces have come together and your work is complete?  Usually, it’s an intuitive process.  In the end, it isn’t just what looks right – it’s what feels right.

What gorgeous ATCs and love the thought when they are right- when you get that instinctual feel that they're right. Just love the unique shape atcs and the beautiful designs. Thanks so much for sharing this. Just awesome.
