I Thought Of You

I love it when people create different projects using the same design – seeing the huge impact subtle differences make always helps me to think outside the box – so today, I’d like to share two cards that demonstrate the flexibiliity of the Embellish Me Beautiful Challenge card!

My I Thought Of You card is similar in many ways to the original card – the design elements are similar, and both use Cosmo Cricket paper and embellishments – but there are a few key differences as well.  First, the change in the color scheme completely changes the mood the card projects.  Next, the elimination of all embellishments except the flower jewel added to the chipboard highlights the message.  Finally, replacing the border strips with a pretty floral ribbon and adding a pretty scalloped border to the edge adds a touch of distinction to this pretty card.

Our second card was created by Lisa at The Purple Place in response to yesterday’s challenge.  She created a beautiful card taking the basic concept and adding her own unique twist (with lots of embellishments!) to her final design!  Click on the link above to see Lisa’s card and give her some love – then, click back over, make your own card, and share your work with us!  🙂

Thanks so much for sharing my card and the link to my blog, you are very sweet.

If I knew how to post the card here, I would? But I have to admit I have NOT figured that out yet!! LOL!

I LOVE your second card creation too, especially the colors. I really think this design is going to be one that I will use often. I look forward to seeing what other cards are created based on the same design concept.

You're welcome Lisa – thanks for participating! I'm a new blogger too, so I am also still figuring things out! I'm thinking about writing some posts about blogging in the future since that also falls under the banner of creativity – what do you think? I love sharing the things I've learned, and I love learning from others with shared interests out there!

I'm glad you like the 2nd card as well. If you make any more cards using this design, let us know, we'd love to see those as well! 🙂
