Vintage Lady

When I was growing up, I lived in a 2-story, turn-of-the-century farmhouse, complete with a dirt basement and a full attic. Whenever I was home alone, I loved to venture into the attic to explore its hidden treasures.  Visiting the attic was like visiting another world to me – for awhile, I stepped out of time and walked into yesteryear.  That’s the thing I love about this card – the woman reminds me of someone I would meet in the attic – someone whose life is steeped in story – someone with a mysterious past – someone whose glory has diminished over time, yet who still lives on through her faded and unmarked portrait.

The inspiring image is from Altered Pages.  The translucent tape was sent to me by my friend Karlene for a ribbon swap.  The other embellishments are from my stash.
