Georgia’s Name ATC

In the midst of the holiday hoopla, it seems like forever since I’ve posted a Name ATC, so today I thought I’d share Georgia’s card with you!

I reflected on a theme for Georgia’s ATC for quite some time before I sat down to make it. First, I considered using “Georgia On My Mind” as the theme for her card, and creating a musical masterpiece.

But, after much thought, I decided I really wanted to create something elegant for Georgia – something that reflected the holiday season without creating a holiday card – so I opted to do this through color. I used red and green to pay homage to Christmas, and black and white which I found reminiscent of a black tie New Year’s Eve gala!

I created the background by layering a sheer white floral ribbon over black cardstock – a technique I first used in my Winter Wonder ATC. Then I layered a few Prima Flowers and topped them with some sparkly bling. Next, I printed off several fonts before finding one I liked for Georgia’s name – of course, I can’t remember which one I used at the moment! Finally, I applied Xmas Red Stickles to the ribbon edging and set it aside to dry.

Well, I hope you like today’s card – and I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! I’m enjoying my mom’s visit and am signing off for some family time!

Georgia, will do! As you will see when I start writing about resolutions and posting pics from the Paper Palace – I could also call this place the Ribbon Rendezvous! Also, if you are interested in doing some JAMS in the New Year, let me know and I'll send you some backgrounds as well!
