One of my personal themes for the year is to “use it or lose it”. Instead of saving supplies for a rainy day, I’m trying to use as many items in my stash as I can, and pass along things I don’t need. This should reduce mental and physical clutter as I work towards two other goals: organizing my supplies and giving The Paper Palace a makeover!
With this in mind, I decided to create a few winter-themed projects this week! As much as I love winter supplies, I just don’t have a need for them anymore as I live in a temperate climate and have very few cold weather pictures to scrap!
I created Let It Snow for Sweet N Sassy Stamp’s first Motivate Me Monday challenge on SNR Card Universe. The challenge was to make a card using the theme “Let It Snow”! If you are unfamiliar with Sweet N Sassy Stamps, be sure to check them out – they have some amazing deals on a variety of adorable acrylic and digi stamps!
To create this card, I layered some sheer and glittery ribbon over a sheet of embossed cardstock, and adhered that to the card base. I then dressed up a tag I had received in a swap by adding sheer ribbon and bling, and added a button and bling to the bottom of the card for balance. All of these elements, pulled from different sources, blend together nicely for a quick and easy card!
Challenge: How many items can you gather to make some quick and easy cards?
A frosty delight! Beautiful card!
I love the card. It really is nice even if you never have snow yourself.
