Bah Humbug #5: Holly

Holly Christmas Card

This week’s challenge at Bah Humbug is Holly. For some reason, this was my hardest card to create yet. I’m not sure if I was because I wasn’t feeling particularly Christmasy this week, or because holly elements seemed hard to come by, but I really scrounged through my stash to find elements for this week’s card!

Once I found this beautiful sheet of holly paper in one of my newly organized 6 x 6 paper baskets, I decided to build the card around the paper. I offset the patterned paper against the red and tore the edges to highlight its prettiness, then added ribbons and embellishments to finish it off.

Thanks for this week’s challenge Bah Humbug – and thank you for your great Tuesday Tip article on Avoiding Inner Turmoil – one I highly recommend for those like me who have a tendency to put off stamping the insides of their cards until the last possible moment!
