WOYWW 18: Legend, Prizes, & Lots Of Exciting News!

Some weeks, the days fly by faster than others; this week has been a blur! Can you believe that this is my 18th week of sharing What’s On My Workdesk with Julia and the gals at Stamping Ground? Well, whether this is your first or your 18th week of tuning in, I’m excited that you’ve stopped by for a visit, because I have much to share! So, let’s get the party started, shall we?

You may have noticed that Legend is happily frolicking on a VERY clean workspace today. If you’re wondering what has caused this aberration at The Paper Palace – I am thrilled to announce that I am participating in the upcoming Where Bloggers Create II 2nd Annual Blog Party next month – and I’m inviting you to join me! Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage is coordinating this event, and Jo Packham of Where Women Create is sponsoring it!

Just imagine – Jo Packman visitiing your blog and possibly featuring your studio in an upcoming issue of her magazine! Now, don’t worry if your creative space isn’t currently picture-perfect – mine isn’t – but with an incentive like that, who wouldn’t have theirs in tip top condition by the time the party rolls around! So, check out the details here, then tell me – who will join me in this amazing adventure?

Speaking of amazing, Jackie Garbarino of Altered Pages is sponsoring a fabulous Collage Sheet Giveaway at Create With Joy for the entire month of May! Each week, I will be highlighting my favorite collage sheets and throughout the month, I’ll be picking winners! This week, I selected Little Lassie in honor of Mother’s Day. If you would like a chance to win one or more of the digital collage sheets I’ll be featuring, enter the giveaway here! I reached my first milestone of the month yesterday, so I’ll be drawing some winners shortly!

Last week I received the exciting news that my recent Get Well Card was picked as The Smart-Word Challenge’s April Winner for their Fresh theme! A few days later, I reecived my prize, this beautiful Mother’s Day stamp set, from Susan. I don’t have a lot of artsy images like this in my collection, so I look forward to playing with these stamps in the near future!

I received a few other goodies in the mail as well. I received a beautiful pack of G.C.D. Studios Canta papers from Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays for becoming a follower during their first blog hop back in February. I was previously unfamiliar with this company and their products, but after seeing the paper, I know you’ll want to add it to your collection! The Canta pack consists of double-sided foiled, glittered, die-cut, and shimmery designer papers in contemporary and distressed patterns in beautiful blues, greens, yellows, and blacks. A sheet of tags and alphas are also included in the package.

Samantha at Scrapmaster’s Paradise sent me a generous collection of paper and die cuts as part of her recent Spring Cleaning Giveaways! Samantha is a talented Stampin Up demonstrator who hosts challenges and recently started a baking blog. One of the unique features on her creative blog is her Color Combo Generator, which is geared to Stampin Up colors but easily adaptable to whatever line you use. The next time you’re feeling color-challenged, stop by and give it a whirl!

I received these Fabric Swap ATCs from my Collage ATC group in yesterday’s mail! Aren’t they cool? Legend particularly liked the animal-themed cards! You can see my cards here. This month, Wendy is hosting a Scavenger hunt on the group. Each day, she is posting three items for us to search for. Once we find them, we can incorporate as many of them as we like into our cards, along with whatever suits our fancy. If time permits, I’ll be playing along, so stay tuned to see what turns up on the list!

Well, I have several things I still want to share, but I’ll save them for upcoming posts! Have a great Wednesday – leave your WOYWW comments here – and enter the Collage Sheet Giveaway as I’ll be announcing my first winners shortly!

    Hi,

Just wanted to stop by and thank you for entering my giveaways. Your comments ended up in my spam file for some reason and I just saw them this evening. Personally, I think one of the best things about the cottage charm giveaway is discovering new blogs – like yours! I'll be back to look at all your beautiful images and read some back posts.
