Looking for a unique and healthy entrée to serve your family? Is a low calorie count a bonus when you plan your meals? This delicious dish is guaranteed to delight everyone’s taste buds – combine it with brown rice for extra nutrition!
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Pound of Boneless Center Cut Pork Chops, Cubed
¼ Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Chopped Fresh or 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves
1 Teaspoon Paprika
¼ Teaspoon Pepper
1½ Cups Better Than Bouillon Chicken Broth
2 Cups Sliced Onions (about 1 Large Onion)
2 Green Apples, Peeled and Sliced
¼ Cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix the flour, thyme, paprika, and pepper in a plastic bag with a zipper top. Add the pork. Seal the bag and shake it until the pork is well coated.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat and brown the outside of the pork. Remove the pork and set aside.
4. Add broth to the pan; scrape the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon to loosen any brown bits. Heat to boiling and then stir in onions. Cook for 5 minutes.
5. Transfer the pork and onions/broth mixture to a baking pan. Cover the mixture with apples and parsley.
6. Cover and bake for about 1 hour or until the pork is tender.
7. Serve over rice or as desired.

Hi Paper P and welcome to the two for tuesday recipe blog hop! I love when new bloggers link up because I get to be snoopy and check out their space and recipes! I love that you are an artist, like me (textiles mostly) but you have integrated your food and art life seamlessly–good for you! I grabbed your rss feed and am following your blog! Looks like there is loads going on here! I really enjoy the combo of tender pork chops and apples. My gran used to make something similar so this is comfort food for me! Thanks for linking up for Friday Favorites!
Some of my favorite autumn meals involve nice fatty cuts of pork from my prized tamworths and apples from my backyard tree. I love that flavor combo. Thanks for linking up with Two for Tuesday.
This looks delicious!!!!
I wish to have a bite.
thanks.
Hello.
I love pork chops and this looks yummy.
We stopped eating white rice years ago, although my wife likes to indulge in the occasional Basmati rice, which I also love. Brown rice has more texture, keeps you fuller and of course is a lot healthier too.
Excellent presentation! Thanks for sharing.
