WOYWW: New Year, Blank Slate

2012 Desk Calendar
A new year… a blank slate… what does 2012 hold in store for Create With Joy?

To keep tabs on all of the wonderful activities I’m dreaming up this year, my workspace is now graced with this beautiful, over-sized calendar!

Did you spot the Moo Mini Card in the corner? I thought it would be fun to personalize my pages!

Here are a few of the parties I have planned for the new year! I hope to launch the new hops this week, so be sure to stop by and join the fun!

  • Inspire Me Monday – Share Your Creative Projects & Inspirations!
  • Wordless Wednesday – Share Your Favorite Photographs!
  • Friendship Friday – Make Friends & Share What Makes Your Blog Unique!

Speaking of friends, Legend the OverSeer sends his love to you! Notice the roll of paper towels behind him? Those of you who remember the Great Paper Towel Fiasco of 201o will be pleased to know that Legend had a grand time re-living old memories in the 30 seconds that I turned my back on him!

Yes, we all love a blank slate and dreaming of the possibilities. Such a shame reality often drops by and takes over. Your pretty Kitty seems to have the right idea …. sit around looking gorgeous and then tear paper to shreds.

  2. Blank canvass the worlds your oyster.Have fab wednesday

I can just imagine the fun Legend must have had. If ever there was a cat aptly named, it is our Legend. )I say ‘our’ Legend because it feels like he belongs to WOYWW)

  15. I love the way you refer to the new year as a blank slate. It’s such a refreshing way to think about each day. Thanks for the inspiration!

  16. karen says:

I think you can actually see it in Legend’s eyes in that picture …. he’s thinking “Okay, take my picture and then you will be busy getting the picture onto the computer. That is when I will deal with these paper towels behind me!”
    Happy 2012 !!
    xoxo Karen

  20. I’m glad Legend dispatched those evil paper towels. Who knows what diabolical plan they were up to.

I like the idea of Inspiration Monday. Mondays get the short end of the stick often but they are fraught with potential!

  21. Happy New Year! A new year is always such an exciting time to take stock and renew energy! Looks like you are on your way! Happy WOYWW #5 Robin Panzer Art Studio 33

Awesome calendar! I’m all about the clean slate this year, lots of reasons for that will most likely come out in one or both of my blogs throughout the year but I think I’ll go get a calendar today! Of course I’ve got twenty little Legends in my house so it might end up under the fridge, but at least I’ll have an adventure everyday if I have to look for it!

  23. Looks like you have a busy and creative year planned…. nothing is quite as seductive as that new page on the calender…xx

  24. Anne says:

      Hi Carolyn,

Google is retiring GFC on non-blogger blogs by 3/1/12 – they are trying to build up their Google Plus membership to compete with Facebook. Although they are saying that they are not disabling it on Blogger blogs as of that date, they stopped supporting it quite some time ago (which is why it is such an unstable platform). It is only a matter of time before they “retire” it from Blogger too.

When GFC is retired, everyone who relies on that widget to stay connected with their blogging friends will lose access to all or a major part of it. Even if you are not on GFC, it is a good lesson that none of us should put all of our eggs in one basket when it comes to building our subscriber base. I will be writing more about this in the upcoming weeks.

Look forward to seeing you on the new hops! 🙂

  33. Lea says:

Good luck on filling the calendar. When I get my photos through from Photobox, they always come with a front sheet of tiny images of all of my photos – maybe you could stick some small images on the boxes?

  34. Legend has such beautiful eyes. I sure am looking forward to filling my blank slate.
