What’s Inspiring You This Week?
Here’s What’s Inspiring Me…
Tonya Ferguson – To Remember Love
Have you ever lost someone you loved?
Have you ever watched someone that you love suffer?
Have you ever lived in such a cloud
You wondered if the sun would ever shine again?
Singer, song-writer and author Tonya Ferguson has.
In her incredibly moving memoir, To Remember Love,
Tonya shares her journey through grief as she
Deals with the sudden loss of her dad to a heart attack
And the lingering loss of her mother to Alzheimers.
Her story is powerful.
As one who has grieved, I can attest that
Reading her book helped me move through my own losses.
Please take a moment to read my review
And share this book with those who need
A little sunshine in our lives!
In March 1986, Whitney Houston released
One of her greatest hits of all time,
The Greatest Love Of All.
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier…
This week, I’d like to congratulate two very special 2012 graduates
Who represent our hopes and dreams for tomorrow…
And acknowledge their very proud moms.
Ladies, always wear your invisible crowns!
Peggy App Seed’s daughter, who just received her
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, Magna cum Laude.
When she began her program, she didn’t think she could draw!
You can read her inspiring story here.
Michelle Weaver, daughter of author Nicole Weaver,
Who graduated from Pepperdine University with a
Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Television Production!
During her Freshman Year, she co-founded Women Of Color,
A campus group which unites women from all backgrounds
And raises funds for worthy causes!
You can read more about Michelle here.
Daria - the “ambassador of song” – travels around the world
Creating music that uplifts and empowers.
With three children’s music CDs to her credits, she is a
2007 “Parent’s Choice” winner as well as a recipient of the
2007 Pennsylvania Council On The Arts Arts Commentary Award.
I’m delighted that Daria is sharing her musical and crafting talents with us
As she shows us how to use recycled materials
To make 14 different musical instruments!
Parents and homeschoolers, don’t miss this tutorial!
Highlights From Week 16
When you feel under the weather –
As I have this week –
All you want is a soothing bowl of
Steaming hot soup!
Vanilla Butternut Soup –
Which the Bookcase Foodie made for her ailing husband –
Fits the bill.
Sometimes the best projects you can make are free.
If you have a few rolls of inexpensive Washi Tape
Lying around your craft room
And a few empty cans you’d like to dress up -
Let Rebecca inspire you into crafting some creating decor!
If flowers are more your style,
The talented Rebecca also shared 5 tutorials with us!
Talk about a crafty over-achiever!
I frequently think of life as story…
So I had to share Gail’s wonderful idea for creating books
Whose titles reflect Aspects Of Your Life!
It’s a fabulous creative and home decor project
For the artist and the writer in you!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to decorate with
Sinamay – decorator’s mesh?
