Book Review
All of my life I’ve been asking questions…
The types of questions that most people don’t ask…
The types of questions to which there are no easy answers.
Perhaps that’s one of the reasons I like Jennie Allen so much.
I find in her a kindred spirit…
A woman who doesn’t shrink away from asking really deep questions…
Or seeking answers to those things that matter most in life.
These questions begin with a stirring in your soul…
How do you give someone God?
How do you make something like God real?
Have you ever felt that you are chasing everyone but God?
Slowly that trickle becomes a stream…
What happens when God finally becomes real in your life?
What happens when you’re ready to put God first in your life?
Then the stream becomes a torrent…
Why had I loved people more than Him?
Why had I sat on every gift He had given me to make Him known?
What if the very thing we are trying to impress God with
Is the very thing keeping us from Him?
Until one day, the whole dam breaks loose.
What happens when you’re ready to give God everything…
And do anything for Him?Anything…
Anything – The Prayer That Unlocked My God And My Soul provides us with an intimate look at the spiritual journey Jennie Allen embarks on the day she realizes that the God she has heard about all of her life seems more plastic than real to her, and that she wants more.
Her search leads her to grapple with issues that most Christians would rather not think about… and ultimately, to pray with her husband a prayer of surrender and abandonment that will change their lives and the lives of those around them.
God, we will do anything.
Anything.
To be willing to do anything,
You must be willing to give up everything.
This book is not for the shallow or faint of heart. It’s for those who are restless in their faith, who aren’t satisfied with the status quo, who want to serve more than a plastic god.
Are you ready to get real with God?
Are you ready for a deeper spiritual life?
Are you ready to surrender your life to Him?
Are you ready for Anything?
Jennie Allen
Jennie Allen is a Bible teacher with a pasion for inspiring a whole new generation of women to encounter the invisible God. Although she was raised in a Christian home and had heard about God her entire life, she did not encounter God or see her need for Him until she was in high school. She began sharing God with the young girls and women around her and in 2005. graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Biblical Study alongside her husband Zac, who pastors at Autsin Stone Community Church.
In 2011, she signed a multi-project contract with Thomas Nelson, which includes a 7-part series of DVD-based Bible studies and 2 trade books. I invite you to read my review of her first DVD Bible Study, Stuck. Anything is her first trade book.

Hi Pamela
I’d love to hear your feedback when you and your husband are done reading Anything. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did! 🙂
What a great review and video. It gives us all something to think about. Have we really given Him everything? As a missionary said, “How can I lose if I give up everything I can’t keep to gain everything I can’t lose.”
Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
