    Ramona,

Thanks for hosting. I absolutely love being a mom. Many people are very blessed to have moms that care for them and love them unconditionally. Fortunately, there are many of us that fall under that umbrella and for those of us who don’t I hope and pray that God will heal your heart. You can go here to read my post:

I pray my story will help bring both deliverance and joy.

The favorite thing about my Mom is that she sacrificed a lot for my sister and me so that we would have what we needed growing up.

    Happy Mother’s Day.

I love the emotions and memories this post brings to me 🙂 This will be my 11th Mother’s Day and my first with my sweet baby girl. What an honor and a blessing to be entrusted with raising my 3 sweet (most of the time!) angels. Mother’s Day is very special to me and I always say a special prayer for the woman that gave birth to me and made the ultimate sacrifice of entrusting me in the care of a family who would be able to properly raise and care for me. Once I experienced pregnancy, labor and holding my precious son for the first time, I realized what an agonizing choice that must have been for her. I am forever grateful. Have a fantastic weekend everyone…can’t wait to read all the wonderful posts!!!

  11. I was so pleased to see that you featured McGuffy Ann. She has the biggest heart in the world and an animal doesn’t cross her path that doesn’t feel her love. As for your Friday Friendly subject … every day is Mother’s Day to me, as you will see when you read my post. I love having the opportunity to talk about this special person in my life … Thank you!

  12. Becoming a mother myself gave me a greater respect and empathy towards my mom realizing how much work really does go into being a mother – particularly for her, being a young mother with 4 kids 3 years apart. 🙂

    Aloha Friday: Cash or Credit?

  13. Meanie says:

left my link to the list. I just love Friendship Friday’s. I am doing a giveaway this weekend on my blog!! As for the joys of motherhood–I was blessed with twins and an older child. Some days are harder than others. But I would definitely say that my children are my life. I treasure every minute with them and can’t imagine my life without them now!!!

  14. Elaine says:

There were so many things to love about my Mom and I miss her so! She passed away last year in March, so this will be my second Mother’s Day without her. It remains to be seen if this one will be any easier than last year but just thinking of her makes me happy! I plan to focus on everything she was to me, and to enjoy my own children and grandchildren just as she always loved seeing me do. I think the fact that she loved being a Mom so much was her greatest gift to me…..and one that I am grateful for every day I my life! It totally shaped who I am.

I’m a new follower of yours on the RSS Feed and I’m looking forward to having your posts show up on my igoogle page every day. Have a great weekend!

Hum…I have boys, so they aren’t so good in giving gifts, at least the second one isn’t. I haven’t had any gift that was so bad. I think all I’ve been getting from the boys are cards they made for me, and I kept them all, still have a couple on my wall. My SO gave me things like plants, since he knows I am a total plant lady. smiles. Great questions, and nice to have you as reminder to looking forward into the calendar…

I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day – receive some heartfelt cards – AND look forward to the encouragement that as your sons grow – they will “get it more” and their gift giving skills will improve! 🙂

In the meantime, enjoy your plants! 🙂

  18. Hi!

I’m a new follower visiting from SASS. Great setup here, there’s so many new people to meet!

As to what I love about my mother, in a bizarre way it’s her stubbornness. We’re both stubborn, so that can make for challenges with us both getting along at times, but she is an inspiration in how she doesn’t give up.

  19. Some lovely quotes! Thanks for sharing those.
My son came home with something made at Preschool that he can’t share until Sunday – I can’t wait to see what it is!

    Thanks for participating in SASS!

  20. Jayda says:

Thanks for the quotes. I think my favourite thing about it now that i have kids is watching the kids on how excited they are. My 3 yr old tried to give me her gift from her big sister today while her sister was at school. She cant handle the suspense herself.

    Thanks ofr participating in SASS

      Happy Mothers’s Day to you!

  21. Sally Ann says:

I have to say that one of my favorite memories from my childhood was waking up to my mother singing while doing the dishes. What a wonderful way to wake up when I was a little girl.
My mom is such a giving woman. She always gave her 5 children what we needed even if it meant she went without. She raised us on my dads income only and he was a self-employed water well driller. We didn’t have much money but I don’t ever remember feeling like we didn’t have enough.
    Thanks Mom,

  22. Kelly says:

Thanks for posting all the quotes about mothers. Inspiring!
