50 Days Of Hope by Lynn Eib

50 Days Of Hope - Lynn Eib

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.
Emily Dickinson

Book Review

One of the scariest words in the English language is cancer.

If you or a loved one has ever heard a doctor speak this word in your presence, you know how devastating a diagnosis this can be.

What you need, more than anything, is the strength to face the days ahead, the reassurance that you are not alone, and the knowledge that others have survived this experience – and you and your loved one can too.

What you need, more than anything, is the gift of hope.

No one is more aware of this than long-time colon cancer survivor Lynn Eib. Each week, she provides emotional and spiritual support to newly diagnosed cancer patients in her role as a patient advocate in an oncology office.

That is why Lynn wrote 50 Days Of Hope – Daily Inspiration For Your Journey Through Cancer. This book is filled with page after page of encouragement from God’s word as well as practical tips and uplifting stories about other survivors that will help cancer patients face the future with faith, not fear.

Although the book is written specifically for cancer patients, I believe it has the power to strengthen and bless anyone seeking support and positive affirmation in the midst of a health crisis. The book is sized for portability but the print is still easy to read.

This book would make a great gift for a recently diagnosed cancer patient and a great tool for a chaplain, pastor or a pastoral ministry team.
