  1. My favorite all time moment was in when Kerri Strug sprained her ankle and still landed the vault to bring the girls gymnastics team a gold! I was just a little kid and remember how awesome that was!

This year was when Michael won his 19th Gold medal in the team relay. So awesome!

Women’s Gymnastics is one of my favorite Olympic sports followed by swimming and diving and Volleyball.

  3. kymi says:

I love gymnastics too, the Fab 5 was intense and focused. We love the swimming too though that was exciting.

  4. Lisa says:

I love gymnastics and swimming most in the summer games (even though we watch almost everything!) and figure skating is probably my favorite in the winter games. We are really enjoying watching the games this year and my kids are learning so much, as we are talking about different countries, their flags, Great Britain, etc. 🙂

Women’s gymnastics is my favorite Summer Olympics event, too. I also loved seeing Gabby Douglas win the all around gold medal. It was funny that I linked up during a commercial while watching that event and was wondering what you were writing about. Then I realized you must have seen the live streaming of the event. You saved me some stress! 😉

Actually, I have the event recorded and have yet to see her perform – I saw it on the Internet and felt a little guilty posting (didn’t want to spoil it for anyone) but figured that since everyone visiting was already on the net – chances were they heard the news too!

This men’s and women’s gynastic’s season has been SO drama filled so far… everything from the awesome Great Britan win on their home turf from that unforgetable Japanese coach drama… to the highs and lows with our own teams… and the highs and lows of the Japanese and Chinese teams… I can’t wait to see how the remaining events play out!

  6. Gina says:

Did you hear that people were making a stink about Gabby’s hair? Seriously people, she just won and Olympic Medal and that is what you have to say? Anyway- so happy for her and her family. They are all an amazing example of what hard work and determination can accomplish.

      No, I didn’t – that’s SO crazy!
What I really liked about her winning is the fact that everyone thought she was too undisciplined to win and she proved them wrong!
I hope her future is as bright as her smile!

  7. Swimming and diving.

  8. Ramona – you are too sweet to feature my little blog project! Thank you so much. I have really enjoyed participating in your linky parties – love the connections made with other bloggers, love seeing what they’ve been up to and love the blogging friendships made. Thank you so much.

As a Marylander we take pride in the accomplishments of Michal Phelps as the first male swimmer to win the same event-the 200m individual medley-in 3 consecutive Games!

My second choice would be the women gymnastics, especially Gabrielle Douglas. Also enjoyed watching the mothers’ reactions after each win.

Michael is definitely giving you Marylanders something to be proud of! 🙂

I’d have to go with Gymnastics — it’s just the thrill of the sport and watching them do these amazing acrobatics that make the Olympics so exciting!

  16. I love quite a few of the events. I enjoyed the gymnastics and can’t wait for the track & field!! 🙂

    Happy weekend to you!

  17. Hello! Thanks for inviting me and for linking up to the hop.
There are too many great moments in the ongoing Olympics. Gabby Douglas winning is the best one for me. I also loved the Mayor flying in, flags in his hands, only to get stuck -suspended in the air- over the tourists attending the games. I really love the spirit and humor of that Mayor. That is the kind of welcome that makes me want to visit London. 😀 Of course, the Today Show reported the event with great humor. 🙂

I have been thinking for the last day on how to answer this weeks question because I was always a lover of the Olympics but this year I just am not watching it:( No reason. I have never missed the Gymnastics competition until this year. I don’t know why. I enjoy hearing about the USA winners on the news but….

But I was so happy to hear about our little gymnast Gabby, she is adorable and I believe she won two all arounds?? Fantastic

  21. Pamela says:

Gabby was certainly my fav. She’s beautiful and so amazing for her age. She earned her medal. I’ve enjoyed other US victories as well. This year I have seen a lot of friendships between countries and I loved that, too.

  22. Blond Duck says:

    Popped in from SAturday SITS!

I saw the poor track star who wanted to run but got hurt right off the starting line…poor thing!

  23. Kathy Penney @ Pinner Takes All says:

My favorite moment is also Gabby winning. My favorite summer sport…that one’s tougher. I love the gymnastics and swimming…but then I get caught up in sports that I kind of forget about when the Olympics aren’t happening like rowing or water polo.

  24. Kerry says:

    Hi there, I’m a new follower 🙂
    Im loving the olympics atm
