Friendship Friday – Extraordinary Moments

Friendship Friday

Question Of The Week
What are some of the Extraordinary Moments
You’ve experienced during your lifetime?

Please share them with us at Friendship Friday!

My Answer
Here are a few Extraordinary Moments from my life:

Any moment when I am creating…
Climbing to the top of a waterfall…
Climbing to the top of a mountain and sitting in the clouds…
Dancing in the moonlight on the beach…
Drumming in a circle…
Discovering that God loves me even when I feel unlovable…
Earning a wounded animal’s trust…
Exploring new places…
Finding true love…
Having a song written about me…
Riding in a horse driven carriage through Central Park…
Seeing how God works in the world…
Seeing God at work in my life…

Singing in a folk group…
Sharing the gospel with children in Mexico…
Truly connecting with someone else…
White water rafting…
Writing the perfect piece…

What about you?

Featured Friends Of The Week

This has been the most amazing Friendship Friday week.
If the hopes, dreams and accomplishments of others inspire you,
You won’t want to miss Friendship Friday – Bucket List!

Here are a few of the highlights from the week:

Diane – An Extraordinary Day

An Extraordinary Day - Bucket List

A fall excursion with a friend leads Diane to
See everyday moments in a new way and to ask:
Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary?
What have you done just for the pure delight of others?

Jen – Grown In Southern Ground

Jen - Grown In Southern Ground

Jen is a bucket list maker extraordinare.
She doesn’t just have one bucket list –
She has several mini bucket lists!
Her bucket lists are built into her Navbar!

For Friendship Friday, she shared
Ten places she’d love to visit.
How many of her destinations are on your bucket list?

Donna – Holimess

Donna McMorrow - Holimess

Donna is wishing and hoping and
Thinking and praying and
Planning and dreaming her way
Through her bucket list!

Some of her dreams she’s accomplished.
Some of her goals are in progress!
Some of her wishes she looks forward to!

What would you most like to see Donna do?
I wish her the magic of #16, which is also on my list!

P.S. Donna – I believe you can have achieved #26 many times over!

Romi – In The Way Everlasting

In The Way Everlasting

Romi never considered keeping a bucket list
Until I posed the question last week…
But she shared 10 fabulous things she’d love to do!
See polar bears and the Aurora Borealis in Canada and
Study the art of Japanese tea ceremony are just a few of the
Fabulous inclusions on her list!

Barbara – My Life As An Adventure

Barbara - My Life Is An Adventure

Once upon a time Barbara kept a “traditional” bucket list
Of all of the things she wanted to do
Before she kicked the bucket
But somewhere along the line,
Her perspective shifted.
She still keeps a bucket list…
But her focus has changed.
It’s now about others…
And it’s never over until it’s over!

Austine – My Life

Austine Etcheverry

Austine shared some fabulous goals from her bucket list.
What I love most about them is that they are
So relatable and so achievable!

Tabitha – The Not So Fascinating Life Of Tabitha

Tabitha - Impossible Quote

Tabitha is another list maker extraordinaire.
For her, the thrill is in crossing out the things she accomplishes.
So, it was with great zeal that she delved into the task of
Creating and sharing her bucket list…
And crossing out the things that she’s done!
She even included photos and “impossible” dreams!

Jenn – The Serenity Space

The Serenity Space

Jenn shared some awesome dreams as well as an
Amazing list of all she has done in her life!
The life that she has lived rivals
The life that most of us dream of!

And yet, the experience that Jenn still longs for is
Love… true love… in a way that she has yet to experience.

Here’s hoping that your bucket overflows in ways
You cannot even imagine!

Dolly – Xmas Dolly

Xmas Dolly

Dolly’s current goals revolve around health.
She wants to lose weight so she can improve her back health
And go dancing with her friends!

Dolly, I wish you all the best as you work towards
Achieving your goals!

Very thought-provoking question and great answer! My marriage, children, and living in Colorado have given me many extraordinary moments. Still, it’s hard to talk about extraordinary moments without mentioning the amazing experiences I’ve had because of my kids’ figure skating … experiences like touring Scandinavia after my son’s first Junior Grand Prix Final in Finland, having many amazing times in England with my daughter, seeing my daughter have her dream wedding in a castle in England, and visiting Turin, Italy, for the World Figure Skating Championships in 2010. I have to smile just thinking about memories like those! 🙂

Seeing the President speak in person, Never to be topped having my children! Thanks for hosting & have a great weekend!

  8. Hi,

It seems so often the extraordinary for me are so carefully hidden in the ordinary– they are the sweet smile of a child that somehow magically draws a smile across my own face without my even knowing it’s happening.

Thanks for the reminder to seek out those extraordinary moments.

    xoxo,
    Nicole

I loved this and your shout-out to other bloggers. These are my favorite on your list; climbing to the top of a mountain and sitting in the clouds, dancing in the moonlight on the beach and drumming in a circle. Mine are setting in my garden and listening the sounds of nature, listening to my cat purr when I pet him and holding my husbands hand. 🙂

Thanks Susan for sharing the moments you enjoyed from my list… and for sharing yours!
Listening to your cat purr…holding your husband’s hand – awesome!
Your garden sounds like an enchanting place to spend the day.
I hope you have many extraordinary moments there this week! 🙂

  10. tina says:

    Hi again, I think this may be the easiest way out of this weeks question…and MY MOST extraordinary events in my LIFE would be the births of my children. But everything else just isn’t even in the same category. Well, I take that back perhaps my wedding while it was a major event – it wasn’t as life altering, body consuming – emotionally exhausting (in the best possible way) as the births of my kids. {winking}

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
    tina

  11. Donna Heber says:

    Hi Ramona,

To answer your question I would have to say one of the best moments was this week when my blog was featured in Artful Blogging magazine. It is such a great feeling to be recognized. Of course, getting married to my wonderful husband is at the top of the list too. Thank you for hosting.

  12. Wayne says:

Sorry for missing last week. Writing while travelling through Europe was tough as reliable internet connections were tough to find.

  13. Brenda Youngerman says:

Love this topic Ramona…sorry I missed last week… looks like it turned out great!
    Have a great weekend!

  14. The birth of my daughter was pretty amazing!! Then spending time with my dad before he passed and of course marrying my hubby 🙂

  15. So many extraordinary moments to list – but the ones from the top of my head is the birth of my miracle baby, Princess Nagger, and the subsequent adoption this past summer of Little Dude. 🙂
