November – A Month Of Creativity

Dream Tag by Create With Joy

Welcome to November 2012! This year, the blogosphere is bursting with creative challenges and throughout the month, I am going to be sharing and partaking in as many as possible – and I hope you will too!

AEDM Button

To kick things off, I’d like to introduce you to the Art Every Day Month challenge – an annual challenge hosted by Leah Piken Kolidas of Creative Every Day! This challenge is simple. Every day (or as often as you can) during the month of November – create something and share it on your blog! Leah will be posting a daily link up for you to share and connect with others. If you are new to her blog, be prepared to meet some wonderfully inspiring folk!

Friendship Friday

For my first Art Every Day project, I created a Dream Tag in honor of this week’s topic at my weekly meme, Friendship Friday – Dreams. Last week we shared Extraordinary Moments. Sound intriguing? I invite you to stop by and join the fun!

Pink Saturday

Since today’s project is Pink, I’ll be sharing it at Pink Saturday – a weekly party hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound!

Now, November is the month of thankfulness, and there are two gratitude-themed challenges that I want to share with you:

Day Of Gratitude Circle

First, Amanda at Creative Idea Gal has started a 30 Days Of Gratitude Circle and is inviting you to write a daily gratitude during November!

An Attitude Of Gratitude

Next, Bernice at An Attitude of Gratitude is inviting you to start a Gratitude Art Journal, and is providing you with prompts, themes, and a multitude of inspiration to get you started!

Now, I planned to start a Gratitude Art Journal today, but I recently moved and was unable to find a journal, so the “art” portion of the challenge will be postponed until such time that I have my supplies in hand.

In the meantime, I am chronicling the prompts on my blog!

Day 1:

The everyday moments in my life that give me joy come from the little things and life’s unexpected pleasures!

Three things I’m grateful for today are being greeted by Legend the moment I stirred this morning, having a warm home to shelter me from the cold, and enjoying a delicious bowl of chili prepared by my loving husband!

To see the positives in my life rather than the negatives, I need to view the world through Jesus’ eyes.

And, on a final note, my friend Faith Hope and Cherry Tea is hosting a Book Swap through November 7. If you’d like to pick up some good books for the holidays – stop by and let her know I sent you!

    Joy:

You have beautifully summarized such wonderful art challenges and gratitude challenges for the month of November. I am so grateful and honored that you have chosen to feature my own gratitude challenge on your blog. Thank you so much!

I love the concept of creating, although I don’t consider myself so much as a crafter but as one who loves to experiment with art. I don’t know how much I’ll be able to keep up with these challenges, but I can say unequivocally that my 6 year-old has been begging to do turkey hands, so that’s the next creative project on our agenda!

Thank you for all you do and thank you for personally inviting me to “create with Joy.” As much as my schedule permits, I gratefully accept! Hope to contact you again soon with more details and photos 😉
