Thanks so much for the link up and yes I have goals….but I also have lots of other jobs besides blogging and it’s hard to cram it all in. Faith, Family, Friends are the 3 things I try to focus on. Blogging comes after those things. Blessings to you! Teresa

    says:

For mst of my 10 years as a blogger my goal was just to keep on blogging, and somehow attract an audience.

Over those years I’ve been invited to events, invited to review films, concerts, books and products.

I never gave serious thought to getting my work published.

Didn’t know how, didn’t think I could afford it, didn’t think I had the time.

Stories, poems, humor, essays, reviews, travelogues, recipes, and more is what I have done on 4 blogs, as myself, and posing as my cats, Nikita and Elvira (http://www.opinionatedpussycat.com).

In the past 2 years, especially the last 7 months, I’ve been encouraged to think about this in new ways.

I am a writer, not just a blogger, and I can learn to do more with my writing, from earning a living, in a job, to self-publishing whatever I have worth sharing from a decade of blogging, into books.

I moved from Ca. to Houston, to start fresh with my life.

I am hoping to be accepted to give a presentation, in May, at a Pet bloggers Convention.

I recently set up a writer’s facebook page, seperate from my personal page.

I, only yesterday, exported each of my blogs into Word Docs.

I am redesigning the looks of my blogs.

Where this will all lead, I do not know, but it’s a whole new way of approaching my career as a blogger than I ever had considered when I first started.

      Dear Kiril

Thanks for sharing your awesome goals and background with us
(though, I must confess, I’m shocked to hear there is a HUMAN behind the voice of Nikita and Elivra – lol!)

I think it’s awesome that you are stepping up and stepping out as a blogger and I want to encourage you to pursue your goals!

Best of luck to you in getting accepted for your pet bloggers convention (are you going to Blog Paws?)

Keep us posted on your plans and progress. Join us for the blogathon this weekend if you can (sign up, you could win a prize!)

And be sure to join us for Wordless Wednesday (we love cat photos!) and Inspire Me Monday.

Writers need all of the encouragement they can get! 🙂

Hello! I’ve got a brand-new blog and so I have lots on my to-do lists! My “big three” right now are probably 1.) Keep writing content regularly, and get a few extra posts ready for days when I’m having trouble finding the time, 2.) Get my social media outlets more established and 3.) Find/make a widget that shows post preview pics in my sidebar.

Thanks for hosting, and I’ve hooked up with you on twitter and Facebook 🙂

  23. Lisa says:

My blog started as a way to share what my children were up to with family and friends who didn’t live in the area, and although that is still a part of it, it has really become a living scrapbook or memoir, if you will, of our homeschooling and faith journey. It is something I want my children to have to look back upon with pride and to share with their families someday. 🙂

  24. Donna Heber says:

I hadn’t really thought about any blogging goals for the new year, but perhaps I should. Thank you for hosting and have a fabulous weekend!

  25. Thank you for doing this, I think it is a good idea to help promote each other’s blogs.

I have added both my blogs as I have just started a new blog and am hoping it does well.

I will be posting my goals on both of my blogs.

Hi Ramona – Well, it has been a long winter already and it is only January ;o) We’ve had the flu and colds since before Christmas, but finally we are now back to health. I’m trying to update my blog to include lots of clickable buttons for all of my bloggy friends, as well as keeping new content posted daily (as often as possible!)

I love the Friendship Friday hop and have written again today about one of the precious friends that God has brought into my life through blogging. Thank you so much for your faithful, consistent hosting this blog hop. It gives us so many opportunities to make new friends!

Looking forward to the coming months (especially the eventual arrival of spring!) and many more opportunities to participate in your weekly blog hops. Much love, Nina @ mamas*little*treasures

  30. Thanks for the hop! I will enjoy hoping to the blogs this weekend, I added the cute button you provided to my latest blog post.! I hope I have return hoppers! I love making new friends. As far as my goals for my blog this year I would say blogging more often would be number one. I do not blog every other day as I wish to at moment. I also want to gain more friends in the process. I love also doing reviews. My goal is to increase reviews. Also to grow in numbers & to simply have fun!

  31. Oh… this is such a wonderful idea. Thanks so much for hosting!. I want my blog to help me to stay present in my life and to uncover its beauty-

I took time to think about the direction that I want to my blog to go. For now, I would like to be able to write consistently throughout the week. Also, I would like to add more photography to my blog and maybe even a video of every now and then. For now it is all plans, but we will see as time goes on where I will take my blog. Right now, I am just trying to keep things together with a three year old and new born baby.

thanks for this! my goals are to continue to reply to each and every comment that someone leaves me so that they know i read what they wrote and to come up with cool topics. maybe some themes for each day of the week?!?! hmmm. http://myeloquentrambles.blogspot.com/

  37. Thanks for linking up with us and hosting this hop this week. My blog goals are well known…at least I’ve talked about them before and that is to interact more meaningfully with those that read, comment and share our blog!

    says:

    New follower here 🙂

My blogging goals are to either win (in the Blogathon!) a new theme or buy one that I like better so I can customize it more. I want to expand what I write about and so I am focusing on finding my ‘niche’ – although my main goal is to share my writing as I am an aspiring author. I also want to follow others and share interesting things! Mostly I have to quit procrastinating to accomplish things…I am horrible at doing things without a deadline and a ‘bribe’ Lol. Anyway, nice to meet you!! 🙂

Thanks again for Friendship Friday Linkup. I am participating in the #Blogathon2.

I’ve mentioned you in my recent post too 🙂

  40. Hazel Moon says:

Thank you for the invitation to join with you at your lovely site. My entry is about my stories and how they usually contain a message. My daughter once asked me, “Mom, why do you always speak in parables?” I supposed I hoped she would get the message, but often you need to come right out and tell them what the message is! 🙂

  41. I tried to do the blognation. I’m not in the know.

My goals right now is to expand readership. Make friends. Keep sharing content.
Able to afford a wordpress blog.

    Happy Friday!
