Do you love to read? Would you like to explore new ways of creatively encouraging yourself and your family to read more throughout the year?
This year, I am participating in a number of reading challenges and events and I’d love for you to join me! Each month, I’ll be tracking my progress and sharing new challenges, events, and other information designed to encourage you and your family to read more. Won’t you join the fun?
February Updates
February was an exciting month as far as reading went. I participated in two Reading Events:
I also completed my second Reading Challenge of 2013!
Completed Reading Challenges
Review Copy Clean-Up – February 2013
The purpose of the Review Copy Clean-Up – February 2013 was to read as many review books as you can. I read and reviewed seven books during the month:
- Art Activities for Groups by Diane Fausek-Steinbach
- Keeping Christ In Ministry by Dr. John H. Harbison (E-Book)
- Fearless by Eric Blehm
- She Speaks by Michelle Clark Jenkins
- Revelation by Sue Edwards
- Fear, Faith & A Fistful of Chocolate by Debra M. Coty
- Pukka’s Promise by Ted Kerasote
New Challenges
This month I discovered several more amazing challenges, but after careful consideration, decided to add just one to the mix.
ARC Reading Challenge
The ARC Challenge, which is hosted by So Many Precious Books, So Little Time, is a challenge to read and review all of the books that you have received from authors and publishers (the term ARC is used loosely here). I am signing up at the Platinum Level, which is to read 35 or more ARCs this year.
What’s New For March?
Take Control Of Your TBR Pile – Challenge and Read-A-Thon
This month I’m participating in the Take Control Of Your TBR Pile Challenge, a month-long challenge aimed at helping you read some of the neglected books that are sitting on your own bookshelf.
In addition, I’m excited to announce that Kimba, The Caffeinated Book Reviewer is hosting the Take Control Of Your TBR Pile Read-A-Thon on March 15-18 to help challenge participants (and anyone else who has books collecting dust on their shelves) in their quest to read more!
There will be challenges and prizes – so what are you waiting for? Head over and sign up for one or both today!
Bloggiesta
The next Bloggiesta is scheduled for March 22 through 24 at the Bloggiesta website. Unfortunately, they do not post details until right before the event, so you will have to watch the website for the sign-ups. This will be my first time participating in the full event, but based on the Mini-Bloggiesta I recently completed, it should be lots of fun!
More Challenges
That’s the wrap-up for this month, folks! Please be sure to share your updates with us – and if you know of any upcoming events or new challenges we’d be interested in, be sure to share those as well!

Thanks for the info. I didn’t know about the TBR Read-a-thon. I like that you have a monthly update of what you did and what’s coming up.
I just completed my calendar page of blog events too for Jan-June 2013 to keep track of all conferences, blogathons and readathons coming up so I have one place to reference all the dates.
