Wordless Wednesday – Visiting The Vet

At The Vet With Tsunami

Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!

Recently, I’ve been reading about ways to keep our pets healthy.
Inspired, I thought I’d dig up a few photos the paparazzi took
During Tsunami’s early visits to the vet and
Promote good pet care among our readership.

I even asked our civic-minded Tsunami to
Share a few thoughts about his experience.

Naturally, he agreed to do so.

If you have ever wondered what goes through your pet’s mind
When you take him to the vet –
Here’s a chance to peek into the mind of a pet firsthand!

Bath

Vet?
What do you mean, I’m at the vet?

I thought we were going to the beauty parlor!
I’m here for a bath and a massage!

Scale

You want me to get on that scale?
I don’t think so!

Did I Hear Dogs

What did I just hear?
Was that a dog?
Don’t tell me that they let dogs in this place!

How Long

How long did you say that wait was going to be?
I have places to go and people to see!

Playtime

At last!
Something to play with!

This is more like it!

Heart Exam

Hey – don’t get fresh with me – we just met!
You haven’t taken me out to dinner
Or brought me catnip!
I am
NOT that kind of cat!

Oh well guess the PSA needs a little more work!
At least no vets were harmed in the shooting of this pictorial…
And I’m sure that Tsunami isn’t looking at the vet’s jugular
In our feature photo…

Seems Barbara Webster was right:

One reason we admire cats is their proficiency for one-upmanship.
They always seem to come out on top,
No matter what they are doing,
Or pretend they do.

Wow! Tsunami seems to take going to the vet much easier than my two girls. When they were kittens they thought it was a play ground. Once they had to stay there for a longer visit when they got spayed, they fight to stay in their carriers. Ask Tsunami for any tips for happier vet visits for me. 😉

I think Tsunami went through his visit to the vet with flying colors! Did you give him that bath and massage? I think he deserved it.

  5. He looks pretty calm to be visiting the vet. I had one cat use to shake and drool profusely during his visits and another that staff referred to as the “Siberian Tiger.”

I love how calm his is at the vet’s office. What a sweetie.

  11. Tsunami, you are absolutely the most laid-back cat at the vet. How do you do it? Large doses of catnip before you go? Unless one of us is sick, our vet comes to the house once a year for check-ups and shots. Too much trauma for the humans to get all eight of us there. Happy WW. Tsunami is friendly on his terms but he does not appreciate over familiarity with strangers

Beautiful cat. I miss ours. I’ve added both my links, hope that’s ok

  36. Thanks for the linky. What a beautiful kitty. So well behaved during the exam, too. It’s very important to look after our 4 legged family members.

  37. Not a fun time for a cat but necessary!

  38. Laura says:

He looks remarkably relaxed considering his location!
    🙂

  39. You are funny. I have a dog…I know the horror! J/K He gets car sick on the way to the vet every time, he has never been one for car rides. And then he just knows the parking lot and has his tail between his legs the entire time. He just know that’s the place that sticks thermometers up his butt. ;D

I had a dog who used to be SO excited to be getting a car ride – but about 2 blocks from the vet, he would recognize the neighborhood and then start to whimper, howl, and ultimately try to bury himself under the back seat. You would have to drag him out and carry him in their (he weighed 40 pounds!) and our vet was so NICE! Felt SO sorry for him!

  40. So cute! No way our kitty would just lay there like that! Happy WW!
