Happy WOYWW to you, dear friends! This post will be rather brief as I am still reeling from the events of yesterday. I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m not in the mood to take photos of my workspace…
Today’s card is dedicated to the people of Boston and all those who were personally affected by this tragedy. You are in my prayers.

Have just opened the newspaper to some truly horrific pictures (which I had seen on TV), I don’t think it is necessary to show them tbh. Your card is fitting. Helen, 12

Love the card. My heart goes out to everyone following the tragic events in Boston. It is so hard to comprehend that people do this to others. Anne x #62
know what you mean about reeling. When 9/11 happened my parents were here in the UK visiting and they went off in the AM to do research at a Genealogy library. It all happened and I just could not understand why they didn’t rush home to us. When they DID finally get home they clearly had NO IDEA what had happened. They were hit with the whole nightmare in an instant, where I had been watching it unfold for HOURS. They were the dictionary definition of shell-shocked! we watched a bit of the Boston coverage last night and it was just so horrible and pointless. I’ve been hesitant to switch on the news this morning – I know I can’t avoid it for long, but for now I am trying my best. I suppose I will have to at lunchtime but no looking forward to MORE INFO, for once. I don’t often think ignorance is bliss, but at the moment I must say I and feeling a bit that way.
It’s a lovely card. Reading between the lines I am thankful it seems it isn’t for someone specific, who was caught up in the tragedy.
Seems wrong to say HAPPY WOYWW, but do have the best day you can manage. Like many, it will be hard, if not in fact impossible.

Thanks for sharing Mary Anne. It appears that having a safe place to share has been good for many of us.
I think that for those of us who are not directly involved in the situation –
ie, we aren’t local, we don’t have family involved, etc –
minimizing our exposure to the coverage is probably the best way to go.
I’m checking in just to get updates on whether they’ve caught anyone but limiting it to reading at the moment –
less likely to be exposed to graphic images and the like that way.
DO have a Happy WOYWW and a happy week.
Your lovely card is heartfelt – beautiful after the unexpected violence which some people seem to delight in creating.

Beautiful card. HUGS
Hope you get a chance to check out my desk.

It’s a beautiful remembrance card. Such shocking news, and so soon after Newtown. We were also in Webster, NY last Christmas when the mad man killed and injured the firemen and policeman on Christmas Eve. So unbelievable that anyone could do things like that.

Wow… isn’t it crazy how none of us are immune from stuff like this so closely affecting our lives?
I think the thing that struck my about the Boston Marathon was that it seemed so personal..
It truly hurts my heart when I hear things like this (which is why I do my best to avoid the news most days).
Great Card I love the Colors!
Happy WOYWW#202!

Yes… that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the news. One tragedy dredges up all of the rest.
I remember – and I pray…
Thank you for sharing this lovely card at
Craft-Room ” So Sentimental” Challenge, hope to see you again;-))m
Will we ever understand how the minds of those madmen (and women) work? How someone could live with the knowledge that they have so horrifically aimed and injured the innocent I will never know. It was heartbreaking to watch, God only knows how Americans feel at the moment. It must be so worrying.
Your card has prompted me to make one also and post it another day. Thank you for the lovely thought.
Thanks also for visiting me earlier – Hugs, Neet xx 5

How sweet of you to make a card Neet – I can’t wait to see it!
The one positive in all of this was seeing how many people opened their hearts and homes to each other during the tragedy.
It’s during times like these you see the goodness in people pour out and the human spirit prevail.
