The #1 show I have to watch is The Good Wife

We have shows we watch weekly and love the intrigue of
Person of Interest, Chicago Fire, Law in Order SUV, NCIS LA and the Mentalist

My all time favorite comedy and I will be dating myself was, I Love Lucy. Dont really have a favorite comedy right now, there just not like they used to be. Laugh your but off funny.

Show I am waiting for final is “The Voice” cant wait to see who wins, there are such talented singers this time.

Years ago I watch daytime dramas and talk shows but now we only watch TV in the evening. I think Theresa has a great idea, wait until the end of the season and rent to watch.

Hi Karren – hope you’re having a great week!

I already shared that my Mom LOVES The Good Wife. Every time she calls she mentions that show!

I also love Person of Interest (especially since the addition of Bear!) 🙂 I had wanted to see Chicago Fire this season but missed it.
Know it must be good since they are talking of doing a spin-off already!

My sister’s favorite all time show was I Love Lucy too! (Who does’t love Lucy?) I assume you mean the original black and white ones. She did a later series too I believe but the originals were classic!

SO agree with your comedy assessment. Comedies used to be my favorite genre but now I watch more drama because like you said – they don’t make them like they used to. That’s why I enjoy watching reruns (even if I’ve seen my faves so many times).

        says:

Yes I it was the black & whites for Lucy and it was Lucy & Dezi. Glad your mom enjoys The Good Wife, Alisha just has a hard time being good, theres a little wanderness in her, lol.

And Bear does add to Person of Interest, hes great, I love the way John just moves through the show, so soft spoken and serious, the hour goes by so quickly!

I too am hoping for a spinoff of Chicago Fire, sorry one of the actresses left, she died in last nights show, just when she came back into the show for the last 2 weeks. We like reruns too!

        Have a great weekend, Karren

Oooh – watch those spoiler alerts! 🙂

In Person Of Interest, have you noticed how the “ferocious” Bear (ha – I can’t even type that without a smile!) has a thing for the ladies?
I don’t remember her name but he let that lady right into the apt when John was there!

I love Hawaii Five O too but I can’t for the life of me figure out –
What happened to McGarrett’s dog that showed up briefly (and then disappeared) in that show?

(as you can see, I LOVE animals!)

  2. Theresa says:

We don’t really watch television as it airs. We tend to wait for the whole series to end, then rent it to watch all the episodes over a few month span. My favorites have been Entourage and Deadwood. We are looking forward to (and will surely miss) The Office when it wraps this month.

      Hi Theresa,

Glad you joined us this week! I’m half and half! We usually tape our favorites and watch them at a later time and then, if we like the series, pick it up later and watch it again!

We also have discovered new series after the fact, however, and watched entire seasons all the way through over the course of time though, like you – isn’t it great to watch several episodes at a time like that? You can really get into a show that way!

I am also going to miss The Office when it wraps. My husband HATES that show but I have always liked it. I still have last week’s episode to catch up on when I have a free moment!

  3. mandy says:

I don’t think there is a specific genre that i enjoy the most, but i do watch comedies the most. I love sit-coms! My current faves are MadMen, TrueBlood, Bones.. about the fave tv show of all time…. oooh a toughie, i’d have to say FRIENDS (i grew up with them, relate to them)

    • Create With Joy
      Twitter: CreateWithJoy1
      says:

      Hi Mandy,

Thanks for joining us this week! Comedies used to be my favorite TV genre – I still love them – but I probably prefer the older comedies (Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, Cosby and earlier) to the current generation of them. There are only a few current ones I watch these days! The Big Bang Theory is one of them.

When I’m feeling low, one of my pick me ups is finding one of my favorite comedies to watch and sitting there until my mood lifts!

      Have a fabulous weekend! 🙂

  4. I’ve been enjoying The Moment, but it hasn’t been on lately! 🙁

    Hello

My favorite TV show currently is Criminal Minds. My all time favorite was LOST. I loved that show but of course it was cancelled. The Closer, The 4400, I loved them all but again, cancelled. I guess I’m the common denominator, lol.
    Angel.

Ps. Hope you will visit my weekend hop

Don’t you just hate it when your favorites get cancelled? The thing that really stings is when they cancel GREAT shows and leave mediocre nonsense on TV! I am SO going to miss Touch from this season. A lot of my faves get cancelled.

I LOVED Lost! I haven’t seen the other shows – I think I was interested in The 4400 but sometimes things either conflict schedule-wise of I end up so busy I forget about it!

When does you weekend hop post? I would love to join you – am finally trying to get my list update! 🙂

      Have a fabulous weekend!

My daughter just got me hooked on Sherlock Holmes (BBC )- we have been watching it on Netflix. I love the X-Files and The Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows….all very old stuff. I do love Criminal Minds but don’t watch it anymore lately…

I’ve never seen Criminal Minds but I think my mom likes all of those shows.
      I LOVE Hawaii Five-O though – lol!

Ever since you mentioned Dark Shadows way back when, I’ve been wanting Netflix.
Of course, then you might never drag me away… assuming it did not disappoint as an adult.

When I was growing up I LOVED Lost In Space!
A few months ago, I caught one of the original shows on tv (first time in decades I’ve seen it!)

Sadly – I saw the show through “sophisticated adult eyes” instead of “little girl eyes” and was pretty mortified that what seemed like a pretty cool show at the time seemed so lame by today’s standards! (I don’t think I’ll be watching anymore episodes – some things are better left to memory!)

I would hate to think that Dark Shadows would be that way because I loved that show growing up!

  7. Hazel Moon says:

Thanks for hosting today. My hubby and I use Netflix and watch it on TV. We can watch series and skip the commercials LOL. My post today is when I happened ot accidently hear Dr Spock on TV and he saved the day for me and my baby.

TV is a tough one for me since I really don’t watch it much…too busy or just not interested although I am fond of “NCIS” and love “Downton Abbey” as well as a good suspense movie, although I’d much rather be gardening, walking, exercising, baking or kayaking!!!….:)JP

Which television shows are your current favorites? The Good Wife, Grimm
Which season finale are you most anticipating? Grimm ( it would of been The Good Wife but, it already happened)
What’s your favorite television show of all time? hmm, hard to say! I did watch The Desperate Housewives with one of my older daughters & 24 with the Mr. & those were good shows.
Hope you have a great weekend & Happy Mother’s day.

My mother LOVES The Good Wife – it is her absolute favorite show! (I never watched it cause of scheduling conflicts – maybe one day!)

I loved 24 when it was on. Kiefer did an amazing job in his role as Jack Bauer!

Does anyone watch Scandal? I can’t wait to find out who the mole is. What a season it’s been. I’m still processing the Huck episode!
That is probably the finale I am most anticipating at this time.

•What genre of television shows do you enjoy the most?

Haven’t watched TV in years and currently don’t own one, but I was into a variety of things, just whatever caught my interest.

•What’s your favorite television show of all time?

A tie: Star Trek the Next Gen. & Deep Space 9

      Twitter: CreateWithJoy1
      says:

      Hi Kiril,

So glad you joined us! Why am I not surprised that you are a Trekkie?

My husband LOVES Star Trek so I have seen both series and they are both good.
I think if I had to choose between them, though, I really loved the characters in Deep Space 9.
DS9 had a different flavor to the characters than the other series that I truly appreciated!

  14. DeDe says:

First, I record everything so we don’t have to watch commercials! My faves- CSI, anything on HGTV, Pawn stars, Touch, Pickers, Ricks restoration. Sounds like a lot, but mostly only watch TV in the winter!

      says:

Ah, Pawn Stars, Pickers, Rick’s Restorations – my husband watches that channel!

I must confess, he watches it so much, I have become somewhat of a closet Pawn Stars fan.
I often enjoy the interaction between the characters (plus you learn some cool facts too!)
      Which one is your fave?

  15. diane says:

Any Voice Fans? Don’t spoil & tell me who went home (haven’t seen it yet) but –
who do you think should win this season’s Voice (and what do you think of the new coaches?)

I don’t watch much TV, but I’ve been watching Dancing with the Stars & I want Kelly Pickler to win. She’s such a cutie and so deserving & I just started watching American Idol last week. I only watch the outcome the last few years and I just started watching The Voice, but only On Demand so I can watch them whenever I want. hehehehe Thanks for the linky & have a great weekend. Happy Mom’s Day to all!

Kelly is a beautiful dancer – she is also probably my top pick, followed closely by the 16 year old!
Other than that, it’s been a rather disappointing season in my opinion.
I did not watch American Idol this season.
      Enjoying The Voice!

      Have a wonderful weekend Marie!

  21. Linda says:

Thanks for a great party!! Have a great week. Linda

  22. Paula J says:

    Happy Friday!!

I used to have something I’d watch on TV every day of the week, but these days I barely have time for TV. I guess my TV time is now overtaken by blog time :))

    Have a great weekend 🙂

  23. Since we didn’t have a TV growing up (my dad felt the shows were too corruptive) I think I’m making up for lost time by watching Way. Too. Much. TV. 🙂 I enjoy all sorts of genres – no specific favorite, but my top favorite shows are Elementary, Bones, Smash, The Following, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Touch (which has just been canceled prior to the season finale of tonight), Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, White Collar, Orphan Black, Psych, Burn Notice…and the list goes on. Luckily I can watch about 90% of my favorites on Hulu+ on a second screen while I’m blog hopping and doing work on my laptop so I don’t feel guilty about the watching. 😉 And my DVR gets quite the workout since I never ever sit and watch anything ‘live’ – I like being in control of my schedule. 😉

Thanks again for hosting – have a great weekend!

Orphan Black Phenomenon, Princess Nagger’s Artistic Mad Skillz, Office Supply Art Fun

    • OH! And I forgot to mention that right now one of my all-time favorites is Once Upon A Time, since it’s one Princess Nagger and I like to watch together (the hubby hasn’t gotten interested in it, so it’s our girl thing). Off the top of my head it’s the season finale I’m most looking forward to as well. 🙂

We just started watching Orphan Black – my husband discovered it & caught me up – wild, huh?
I missed a good number of the comedies I would normally watch this year because of DVR limitations (we don’t have Netflix or Hulu).
SO bummed that Touch isn’t coming back.

Agree about being in control of my schedule.

      Have a great weekend!

  24. crystal says:

Thanks for hosting! I don’t watch much TV, and I never watch reality shows or competition shows, they all seem so fake to me. My fave though, is “The big Bang theory”, it’s smart and funny! Have a great weekend. 🙂

  25. Lisa says:

We are not big tv watchers here. We just find most of it morally offensive or just plain dumb. (I don’t mean to offend anyone, but some of that reality tv like “boo boo” is just insulting to my intelligence, lol!) My husband and I do watch some programs on the History and/or Military channel and our children will watch some program on the Science or History channels for educational purposes. They did watch some PBS children’s programs when they were younger. Any dramas that my husband and I enjoyed were cancelled, anyway. 🙁 We do enjoy watching the Duggars together as a family. Unfortunately, there isn’t much out there to watch as a family anymore.

I enjoy a good mystery, Masterpiece Theatre, and catching The Voice now and then. Old movies from the 30’s to the 50’s are interesting. I laughed so much at The Big Bang Theory, it’s so simple, yet so funny.

We don’t have TV, but we do have 2 Netflix accounts. I’ve been watching Madmen. I know it gets a little risque and gross at times, but I grew up in the 60’s and it’s fun to remember the events that they talk about on the show! I balance it out by watching Heartland too, and Call the Midwife!
