I’m No Angel – Book Review
In 2009, 19-year old Kylie Bisutti made headlines around the world when she competed against over 10,000 contestants in a nationally televised reality competition and won the coveted title of Victoria’s Secret Runway Angel. Having entered her first competition in the fourth grade, Kylie was an experienced international runway model who believed that winning this title would catapult her to the top of her field and make all of her dreams come true.
Kylie was wrong.
In December 2011, Kylie made headlines again – but this time, it was for God.
Kylie rocked the modeling world and set off a firestorm when she walked away from her multi-million dollar life of fame and fortune because God opened her eyes to the fact that her modeling career was not compatible with her Christian faith.

I highly recommend this book.

Kylie Bisutti is a former Victoria’s Secret Runway Angel who, at 19, beat out 10,000 girls to win a modeling contract with Victoria’s Secret, but upon achieving her lifelong dream, realized she could not reconcile her work with her Christian beliefs. In December 2011, she quit modeling for Victoria’s secret and dedicated herself to being a role model for young girls. Thanks JP! I hope you have a chance to read the book. Such a powerful story! One thing that really struck me is how much God protected her during all of this. Even in the midst of the few harrowing encounters she shares, her story could have been so much worse, were it not for the fact that she tried to uphold to her Christian beliefs throughout her modeling career the entire time!

Hi, I’m stopping by from the linkup at OnlyABreath.
I had never heard of Kylie until recently. (Mainly because I don’t have TV so unless I actively go searching for headlines a lot passes me by LOL)
HOWEVER – what an inspiration! I think it is such a battle we women face, the pressures of the culture and the calling of the Father.

I was unfamiliar with Kylie’s story until I read the book. I was intrigued by the description and took a chance on it.
