Come Back Dear Sun – Book Review
Imagine a world where it’s dark all day,
Where it’s too dark for children to go out to play!
When Kaylee discovers a world without cheer,
She makes it her goal for the sun to appear!
Come Back Dear Sun by Geena Bean tells the delightful story of an 8-year-old girl named Kaylee who wakes up one morning to discover that the sun is missing. Although her father believes that the sun will eventually reappear, Kaylee isn’t convinced.
So, Kaylee wakes up her six-year-old sister Mattie and together, they make it their mission to discover why the sun has disappeared – and what they need to do to ensure that the sun comes back!
They enlist the help of their friends Fran and Lily and plan a sleepover in their back yard. They talk to the moon to discover why the sun has gone away. Then, they devise a creative plan to bring the sun back!
Readers of all ages will love the positive and inspiring message that Come Back Dear Sun imparts. The bright and colorful illustrations by Cheri Webber will put a smile on everyone’s face! The clever rhyme and storyline make this book a pleasure to read aloud!
I highly recommend Come Back Dear Sun for young readers.

You and your daughter would love this book, Mary! Thanks for entering the giveaway. Best of luck to you! 🙂
Fantastic story … who doesn’t like to read about the way a child looks at things. Their innocent curiosity lost in adulthood. This books sounds like one that would create dialog with a child. I’d love to win a copy for my grandkids.
