Nalah and the Pink Tiger – Book Review

Nalah is a little girl with a special gift. Everywhere she goes, she sees wild animals!

Her mother believes Nalah has a wild imagination. Nalah believes her mother just can’t see the animals!

Nalah and the Pink Tiger is a delightfully illustrated picture book in which first-time author and illustrator Anne Sawyer-Aitch brings the exotic animals in Nalah’s world to life!

These creatures have a way of taking over Nalah’s house and wreaking havoc wherever they go.

Some of the animals you’ll meet in Nalah’s world include Mad Tooth the Mouse – Percival Prong, the Polka-Dot Pig – and, of course, the Pink Tiger himself!

Anne says the book was inspired by her lively niece “who lives so intensely in her imagination that grown-ups around her view her as a troublemaker!”

One of the things that makes Nalah and the Pink Tiger so unique is the artwork. The book is illustrated in a beautiful style of art called “illuminated illustration”, which features multiple layers and backlighting to create vibrant, textured pages.

Nalah and the Pink Tiger is a book that young children will enjoy interacting with because of the colorful artwork and the delightful storyline.

Parents will also enjoy reading Nalah and the Pink Tiger to their children and being transported back to their own childhood, to the days when the creatures in their imaginations ran wild!

    Hey All,

Thanks so much for hosting me on your blog. Making this book was truly a labor of love and a phenomenal experience. I’m looking forward to creating the next one, Nalah Visits Mad Mouse City! Nalah will go down into Madtooth’s sock drawer and explore the wild mouse metropolis there.

    Yours in silliness,
