Happy WOYWW to you, dear friends! Today I wanted to share the complete set of cards that I created for this year’s What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesdday Anniversary Party! They consist of one greeting card and three Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) and there’s a story about how I came up with the theme!
When I sat down to create my ATCs, I wanted my cards to coordinate, so I decided to create a fun challenge for myself.
I found a sheet of festive 5.5 x 5.5 inch Wholeport Japenese Zen Origami Paper and asked: how many cards could I create out of this sheet of paper without letting any of it go to waste?
Based on the projects I conceptualized, I ended up with 4 cards: 1 greeting card and three ATCs! You can get a sense of the way I cut the paper from this photo.
You can see my Celebrate The Occasion Card – inside and out – on my WOYWW 4 Anniversary post.
Here’s are the three ATCs I created for WOYWW 4 using the remainder of the paper:
And here’s a close-up look at each of the individual ATCs!
I made this ATC first. I made it back in the spring when I was thinking of the Cherry Blossoms in DC.
I made this one next! I thought of fireworks bursting over the sky when I saw the patterns in this paper.
This was my final card. Initially I thought about making a tag out of this but the strip turned out to be the perfect size for a final ATC! I really dug deep to match the perfect colors for this card!
Here’s one final peek at all four projects and the paper I used (turns out I had two sheets!)
I hope you enjoyed these projects and they inspire you to see the creative possibilities even in the smallest of scraps!
