What Makes Friendship Friday Unique?

Friendship Friday is designed so that you can participate in the way that best suits your style!

1. Need fresh ideas to blog about? Interested in what other bloggers think about various topics?

Each week, I’ll provide a Theme and Questions to ignite your creativity. You are cordially invited to share your thoughts in a themed Friendship Friday post or to answer the questions in the comments!

2. Want to share your creative talents or highlight a post from the past? Feel free to spotlight your favorite projects and essays!

Whichever option you choose, please add the Friendship Friday button to your post/blog and share this event on your social media sites so that others can join the fun!

This Week’s Theme Is Seasonal Blogging

When it comes to blogging, have you ever noticed an ebb and flow to how frequently you blog – or to the number of visitors who stop by your blog?

That’s what this week’s questions are all about!

  • Do the seasons tend to impact your blogging habits?
  • Do you tend to blog steadfastly year round, or do you blog less at certain times?
  • Are you blogging more, less or the same than usual this summer?

Please share your thoughts with us this Friendship Friday!

Have Fun!

Have fun connecting with one another – building friendships is what this community is all about!

For more opportunities to create and connect, join us for Inspire Me Monday and Wordless Wednesday!

Woohoo I’m early this week 🙂

Normally I try to post regularly throughout the year, but with my life taking a turn for the crazy I’ve been missing a few days a week.

Happy pre-Friday 🙂 I’m definitely been hit by the summer blues! With the weather finally getting warmer, longer days, weekend trips – it is so easy to let my blogging responsibilities slip a tad. I’m working on getting better. Perhaps by the fall 🙂

Know what you mean! I’ve noticed a lot of bloggers MIA… and I’ve noticed they seem to come back in the fall!
Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Good questions! I definitely notice a decrease in traffic over the summer months. I maintain my regular schedule at LivingMontessoriNow.com, but I took a week off at RaisingFigureSkaters.com when my husband and I visited our kids and kids-in-law over the 4th of July. I do spend more time outdoors over the summer months and even sit outdoors sometimes when I blog.

For the most part, though, I do everything pretty much the same year-round. I love blogging and social media and don’t have kids at home, so I don’t really mind. I wouldn’t recommend my schedule for everyone, though.

If I had young children, I’d definitely be a much different type of blogger. I spend a lot less time online every time my husband and I visit our family, and I wouldn’t give up that family time for anything.

  5. My blogging depends not on the year seasons but day time. I am most productive when my town fall asleep. Do you recall the tales where children toys wake up at midnight? That is my the most fruitful time. I chat with the silence…

I am not blogging as often as I once did, probably because I am running out of stories from my past. Each Sunday, I digest the Pastor’s sermon and post it on spiritual sundays, and usually on Hear it on Sunday and use it on Monday. My entry is about a recent shopping trip I did to town where I met a homeless woman and her dog. Thank you for hosting your lovely site.

Thanks for hosting. I have found that with the heat turned up lately that I’m indoors more and able to blog lots more than when the weather is nicer outside.

  9. Thanks for hosting & God bless!

Great question! I have many blogging friends from the Northern Hemisphere so my seasons are the complete opposite of yours! I have noticed though, that as you are all getting sick of summer my Christmas blog is getting a few more hits…I think you are all craving winter and we are all ready for summer!

    Best wishes,

I’m blogging once a week instead of twice. Just don’t have the time with other activities going on.

Hope you are having a fabulous summer, Sharon – and glad that you are still keeping active in your blogging!
It can be challenging – if you think spring fever is bad – summer vacation is truly among many of us! 🙂

  15. Mary Denman says:

I had just been getting consistent with blogging three time a week in 2013.

Then in May, my life turned upside down. I lost my mom unexpectedly, then 2 weeks later, lost my father-in-law, and then 2 weeks later, my daughter got married (yay!) Then I had major surgery.

I didn’t blog for about 2 1/2 months. I’m slowly getting back to it. But I’m realistic enough to know I probably won’t be fully consistent for a while.

Thanks so much for hosting! I found you via Wordless Wednesday. 🙂 Have a great day!

      HI Mary,

Thanks for joining us – I’m so glad you found us through Wordless Wednesday!

I know how cataclysmic events like loss and surgery can throw our entire world into chaos.
During those times, you really have to focus on what’s truly important and what can take a back seat until things normalize.

Let your blog be a source of support and strength for you when it feels right – not a source of stress.

Look forward to getting to know you on your journey! 🙂
