Happy WOYWW, dear friends! Last week I shared my Ink Pad Storage ideas with you, which prompted one of our WOYWWers (Nan) to ask:
What are the inks in the black boxes in the top cubicle?
Since showing is better than telling, I thought I’d pull the ink pads from the shelf and give you a peek!
There are two types of ink pads on the shelves. Most of you who stamp will recognize the Tim Holtz Distress Inks in the little square pads. The other ink pads – a little more challenging to recognize – are Anna Griffin archival inks. I collected as many of these as I could several years ago before our local Michael’s stopped carrying them!
On the feline front, there’s a fabulous photo of “Mister Whiskers” – (a new moniker!) – posing on my workspace at Wordless Wednesday. Stop by for a visit and you’ll learn lots of tantalizing facts about what cat’s whiskers are really used for!
Be sure to check my sidebar for some fabulous giveaways as well!
Have an awesome week – I look forward to seeing what’s on your work desk this Wednesday!

Holy smokers! *grin* thanks for the show and tell! Ah yes love Timmy’s stuff. Guess I’ll have to back up a bit for next week’s desk pic so you can see my ink storage. It’s only fair you’ve shown yours. 🙂 off to check out Mr Whiskers….they do have some length to ‘Em. Thanks for the earlier visit! Happy WOYWW! Nan G #1

I have a few favorite pads that I’ve used and used until they’ve dried up!
(Even then I try to use them – even if the color is faint – for background coloring!)
Love your inkpads. Happy crafting. #7
wow, what a great range of colors you have for your inks! i just finished the book i won from you some time ago (Art After LIfe) and i must say, I love it. I was going to write about it for WOYWW but I lent it to my sister since I think she would love it too.

Wasn’t that a fabulous book, Peggy? I’m so glad you liked it and are sharing it with your sister!
If you do write about it, be sure to drop me a line so I can read your post! 🙂
Thanks for sharing your stamp pads but Mr Whiskers steals the stage this week, what a handsome man he is. Give him a tickle behind the ears for me.
Happy WOYWW

Thanks for visiting, Eliza and Yoda – have a fabulous week!

You too Helen!
Greetings from a fellow feline fan in Alaska. I went back and read all your posts about ink storage and loved the idea for the little cat’s eye contains. Looked like a embroidery floss holder, but I suppose any would do. Thanks for the great idea!! Have a good week. Sara j #42

Thanks, Sara, for checking out my posts! I may have to repost that idea since it has been awhile and it was hugely popular when I first posted it! I don’t remember where I got the tin or if it was initially an embroidery floss holder or not, but I do know it came with plastic dividers that I pulled out so that all of my ink pads (of varying tiny sizes) would fit!)
It works great and I have two layers of ink pads in the container!
I have run a strip of paper printed with the names and inked up round my pads so I can see the colours from the side. I also did this as the printed label is so off from the real colour of these distress inks. #46

Great idea Belinda! I have made color charts with my inks before but of course that does not get the colors on the ink pads themselves!
Awesome stack of inks you have there Joy.

Anna Griffin! I think I once saw some lovely stamps by her – very pretty and vintage! I haven’t seen anything by her since though. Mr Whiskers looks very handsome indeed! Julie Ann xx #35

Her ink pads come in beautiful vintage colors that complement those beautiful vintage designs!
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen her stuff too but I have a few goodies from her in my stash!
Hi Joy
We all love our ink pads don’t we it is a shame that most of them are in black cases it makes it hard to know what makes they are and what colours when they are all stored away.
Have a really great WOYWW and enjoy the rest of your week

Yes – I recognize the shape to tell the brand, but I had someone make labels for me so I could at least read the colors on the side!

I have not gotten into the Tim Holtz Distressing Inks, but sure see a LOT of people using them. May have to venture there. Kim #52

You’ll love them! They are great for distressing and achieving artistic effects!
Mister Whiskers is a good moniker for him. Thanks for showing off your ink pads. I’ll have to go check out your storage idea from last week, although I have an old cassette holder that is working well for me. I always like to have new ideas because you just never know. And you were right, I had no idea who made those top pads. I’ve heard of Anna Griffin but didn’t know she did ink.

I don’t know if you can still buy Anna Griffin inks or if they were only available for a limited time, but the colors in the line were gorgeous – I wish I had the funds to have gotten the entire line!
OOh those Ag inroads look nice..never seen those here. mind, how many more archival inks does this gal need?!
Loving all your wonderful inks, such great colors and Mr Whiskers new pose is adorable. Have a great week and Happy WOYWW! Danie #17

Good morning, Joy! I have a couple of the Anna Griffin SPs from when I taught at Michaels. I love her papers. I love how you also seem to be re-inventing your storage. I’m in that process for the gazillionth time as well. Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #131
