Mud Puddle Hunting Day – Book Review
When I was a little girl, I didn’t like rainy days. I never enjoyed playing in puddles or sloshing through the mud. To this day, I do my best to avoid wearing rubber galoshes!
My outlook would have been so much brighter if, as a child, I had experienced the joys that a Mud Puddle Hunting Day could bring!
Mud Puddle Hunting Day is a delightful board book that Callie Grant wrote with our youngest children – those ages 0 to 6 – in mind. In this rhyming story, Callie tells the sweet tale of a young girl who discovers the natural delights that await her in the world when she ventures out into the world on a “mud puddle hunting day”!
In the process of discovery, she learns to cultivate an attitude of joy and praise!
Melanie Magee’s beautiful illustrations provide the perfect accompaniment to the book!
If you are looking for a sweet story to share with your children, Mud Puddle Hunting Day is sure to make a big splash!
Read it to your children often. They’ll delight in God’s creation as they embrace the story’s motto:
Rain changes everything along the way
On a mud puddle hunting day!
Mud Puddle Hunting Day is available October 1, 2013 on Amazon.

Everyone loves jumping in muddy puddles! This one looks like a real winner 🙂
I absolutely love the title of this book, the concept, and the colorful art work. I myself was a mud puddle explorer as is my daughter. Some of the best memories can be made on a rainy day!
Looks like a fun and cute book! I grew up near Seattle, where rain was too common to be fun. Now live in CA, where my kids LOVE it when it pours hard–and so do it. I really like going out running in a downpour. I’m weird that way 🙂
This is a book I know my grandchildren would love! They are fascinated with Peppa Pig and how she loves to jump in muddy puddles. Thanks for sharing.
