Friendship Friday is designed so that you can participate in the way that best suits your style!

1. Need fresh ideas to blog about? Interested in what other bloggers think about various topics?

Each week, I’ll provide a Theme and Questions to ignite your creativity. You are cordially invited to share your thoughts in a themed Friendship Friday post or to answer the questions in the comments!

2. Want to share your creative talents or highlight a post from the past? Feel free to spotlight your favorite projects and essays!

Whichever option you choose, please add the Friendship Friday button to your post/blog and share this event on your social media sites so that others can join the fun!

This Week’s Theme – Something Random

As bloggers, we are used to writing about “stuff”. This week, I encourage you to be creative and share something random!

Share a song. Share a quote. Share a recipe. Share a book. Share what’s going on in your life in the comments or something you’d like us to know! Write about your favorite things in a Friendship Friday post or something that’s been on your mind. Link up your favorite posts past and present, or share a ost you’ve come across that have touched your heart.

Whatever you do, this week, have fun. Discover the freedom in Sharing Something Random at this week’s Friendship Friday Party!

Celebrating Random Through Music

Fleetwood Mac Rumours

For my random share, I’ve chosen to share a beautiful song called Songbird by Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac. This song first appeared on Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours album in 1977. There have been a lot of interesting lyric interpretations over the years but Christine says the song is “about nobody and everybody…in retrospect, it’s like an anthem…a little prayer of sorts.” The images on the video are stunning so I hope you’ll take the time to watch it!

Thank you so much for sharing this awesome song! The lyrics are wonderful, the singer can certainly sing and oh the scenes are absolutely breathtaking. Thanks a lot for hosting. As always I am happy to link up. Have a great weekend.

hI, I’m having trouble loading my thumbnail. I couldn’t get on at all Monday and today when I just looked, the thumbnail had loaded but it looks like it’s under a film. Thanks again for doing what you do.

      Hi Barbara,

I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the linky. If your linky has been added and you click on it, it will appear “faded out” so that you know you have visited it already – it still works though if you click on it. It’s designed as a new convenience feature in this new format so that when you visit everyone’s links you can see which ones you have and haven’t visited. I hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing and have a fabulous week!

  3. Thanks for the song & for hosting & God bless!

Oh boy does that song bring back memories! My dear hubby and I had been married only a year when that song came out! We just celebrated 37 years!

Thank you so much for hosting and for your fun themes! Here’s a random fact about me: I have 3 sons, born in three decades! One in the 70’s, one in the 80’s and the last (whew) in the 90’s!

    Have a great weekend!

That was a lovely way to start my morning. Thanks for sharing! And, the images were beautiful. We had a double rainbow in front of the road we were driving on our honeymoon some 18 years ago. That was like a happy sign from God for us. God bless! P.S. I hope you have time to link on my Make My Saturday Sweet blog hop. 🙂

Fleetwood Mac – wow, that takes me back! I’ve woken up to a clean kitchen sink the last 3 days, and the last time /that/ happened was roughly the time “Rumors” came out! *lol-j/k* … for the most part.

Thanks Dolly – I’m so happy to hear that you are healing – I am tempted to link this song up to your Monday hop too but not sure if you could stand the shock of 2 songs from me in one week – lol!

  15. Gail Williams says:

I have been married for 41 years. The song reminds me of my youngest daughter who can sing so beautifully. My husband and I just got back from a quick couple days to look at the trees around Bayfield, WI and they looked just like in the video. My tidbit is that my patient husband is surrounded by women. He has 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters and one last granddaughter that will be born in Jan. 2014.

Have a blessed weekend (and what exciting news about your soon-to-be-born granddaughter!)

Hi! Just linked up for Friendship Friday. Looking forward to getting reconnected with you through your weekly blog hops. Would also like to invite you to be a Guest Blogger on the Ruby for Women blog . . . . perhaps one of your book reviews or promote the blog hops over there? Let me know, it wouldn’t have to be a new blog post just linking back to one you already have posted. Hope we can connect soon! I’m going to promote today’s hop there right now! BIG Hugs, Nina
