WOYWW – Fight Like A Girl – Free Breast Cancer Awareness Stamp Set

A-Muse Studio - Fight Like A Girl

Happy WOYWW to you dear friends! Last week, while researching Art Challenges for my Treasure Life card, I came across a fabulous stamp set that A-Muse Studio is offering for FREE to US residents (you pay only $3 shipping and handling) during the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The stamp set is called Fight Like A Girl and it is a must have set – one you will want for yourself and all of your friends!

I wasn’t familiar with A-Muse Studio stamps before I came across the Think Pink/Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge, so I wrote to the site owner to inquire about the stamps and the company. Chris shared that the stamps were once sold in stores but are now available online and through consultants. They are high-quality rubber stamps that come on perforated rubber that easily punch out and can be used on your acrylic blocks. I ordered a set and my order was processed immediately. It arrived via USPS in just a few days!

As you can see from the photos, there are 8 stamps in this set, plus lots of information on early breast cancer detection. The ribbon stamp comes with a coordinating die cut you can purchase, and the company has provided a Free Downloadable Calendar for use with the push pin stamp.

I haven’t had a chance to play with the set as of this writing, but I am looking forward to creating and sharing some cards in the upcoming weeks!

That’s the latest craft item to hit my desk – what’s on your desk this week?

Have a happy WOYWW!

P.S. Don’t forget to get your feline fix at this week’s Wordless Wednesday!

Thank you for being my first comment on my blog :-). I love the stamps and I will have to track them down as my sister fought her battle against breast cancer 4 years ago, and thank heavens she is still with us and doing very well and is a very good artist. Going through this has opened her eyes and ours too as to what is really important. I look forward to seeing what you create with these stamps :-). Happy WOYWW.

I had a good friend win the battle a decade as well and you’re right – stuff like this truly opens your eyes to what matters!

Our Desker, Princess Judy is an A Muse consultant, I SO wish they would have a UK presence. I love their stuff, so am thrilled to see that you’ve discovered them!

  9. Lunch Lady Jan says:

How refreshing and wonderful to hear of a company doing something like offering that stamp for free. Go them! You’ll use those sentiments such a lot, I’m sure.

Great stamps, Joy. Let’s hope they raise awareness. I have a friend struggling with cancer atm – she had a double mastectomy a few years ago but has a recurrence in her chest. So far she’s doing OK but we are not too hopeful really…

Modern medicine is marvellous and so many advances have been made, and there is much greater hope for people than there used to be.

    Happy WOYWW,

Very uplifting from the stamp company to do such a thing, nice to see someone isn’t just about profits and nothing else. You’ll get a lot of use out of some of those stamps too, like you say, the sentiments can be used for other projects. TFA.

Isn’t it though? I read that they set aside 10,000 stamp sets for that purpose!

I am really not trying to buy many new products these days – trying to focus on using the ones I have – but I felt this was too good an offer to pass by – and too good an offer not to share! 🙂

Such lovely stamps in such a brilliant cause! I wonder if we have these available in the UK? My lovely neighbour won the battle with breast cancer about 3 years ago now. I never see her dear smiling face without being grateful to all who treated her and gave so lovingly of their expertise: I know her hubby feels so too. Have a wonderful WoYWW! Julie Ann xx #28

One of the things about these occasions is that it always brings someone we care about to mind.

The stamps are only currently available in the US from what I understand – but if you really want one, perhaps you could order and make special arrangements to have it shipped to you!

Julia mentioned in the comments that one of our WOYWWers is an A-Muse rep so Princess Judy would be a great person to contact!

This special is only available through the end of the month though, to the best of my knowledge, so if you want one – act fast!

  14. Famfa says:

Great stamps – enjoy using them.
Brenda normally links me at the same time as her if Julia has linked before our respective bed times ( we are in the same time zone) – I am very grateful else I would be 200 instead of 2 x

Hi, I know this is going to be a far stretch but are there any of the fight Like a Girl stamp sets left? A newly found friend works in a Breast Cancer office and they make cards for their patients. I am making her a Ribbon embossing folder (can you believe no one make one) to run thru her Cuttle Bug. Just thought I’d ask. Thank you so much. Laurie Quick

      Hi Laurie,

I believe that this was a limited edition stamp, but you could try contacting a consultant to see if they have one or doing a search on E-Bay!
Best of luck to you! 🙂
