Whispers Of Hope – 10 Weeks Of Devotional Prayer – Review
As Christians, we are taught to “pray without ceasing” – but where do we begin? What does that mean? How does one cultivate the habit of praying in the midst of their busy lives?
To answer that question – and to help us approach prayer in a simple yet powerful way – best-selling author and beloved Bible teacher Beth Moore has written Whispers Of Hope – 10 Weeks Of Devotional Prayer to ease us into a new season in our spiritual lives!
Whispers Of Hope is an extremely easy-to-use book that is centered around three features:
- 70 Daily Devotionals that include a Scripture for the day, a Bible reading for the day, and a devotional reflection to reflect upon.
- A Daily Prayer Guide – with room to jot down your thoughts – that uses the acronym PRAISE to guide you through a time of Praise, Repentance, Acknowledgment, Intercession, Supplication for Self, and Equipping with God.
- An Answer Log that reminds us that prayer is not just about talking to God – it’s about listening to His voice, waiting for His response, and recording the mighty things He does in your life!
The cover is inviting. The pages easily open and fold to the place you want to read and write. The devotional readings are relevant and conducive to life change.
Whispers Of Hope is a great book for anyone who wants to draw closer to God by through the spiritual discipline of devotional prayer.
I rated this book 5/5 stars.

I’m the same way Patsy! I also like reading different Bible translations for that very reason – I use certain translations when I am doing serious study – but a much wider breath of translations during my personal reading / devotional time!
If this is your first Beth Moore book you will really enjoy it – she has a way of really speaking to a woman’s heart!
