The schedule of events for this blog hop is as follows:

Best Kid’s, Children’s and Middle Grade Books of 2013

Today I’m sharing some of the best Kid’s, Children’s, and Middle Grade Books I read in 2013!

  • Which of these books sounds most appealing to you?
  • Which of these books would you like to share with your children?
  • What are your favorite Kid Lit, Children’s and Middle Grade Books of all times?

Tales Of The Defended Ones

Tales of the Defended Ones

Tales Of The Defended Ones is one of the most moving books that I have read all year. It’s a book of stories about God The Defender and the people He protects. In this book you’ll meet five children who God defended and protected – even when it seemed no one was watching – even when it seemed that no one cared. This is a wonderful book to share with your children and an inspiring book to discuss with your family.

Charlie Sparrow And The Secret Of Flight by David Anderson

Charlie Sparrow and the Secret of Flight

Imagine being a bird who doesn’t know he can fly. Imagine living in a whole city of birds who believe they should protect other birds from the dangers of flying. What happens when you discover that there may just be something a little different about you – and you want to pursue the stirring inside?

Charlie Sparrow And The Secret Of Flight is a wonderful book for children of all ages (but especially for those ready to read chapter books) who desire to pursue their dreams in the face of adversity. Truly one of my favorite books of the year!

Good Morning World! by Mrs. D.

Good Morning World

If you are looking for a delightful story to share with your children – a beautifully illustrated book that will make you feel good as you read it – I can’t think of a better book than Good Morning World! by Mrs. D.

Good Morning World! contrasts the different perspectives that Baby Thomas and his Grandpa have on the world around them as they take a stroll through the park. Let’s just say that one of the two is extremely excited about everything he sees and the other is not! Have you ever needed to see the world through fresh eyes?

If you like this book, be sure to check out The City Kittens and the Old House Cat by Mrs. D. as well!

Come Back Dear Sun by Geena Bean

Come Back Dear Sun

Do you love books that rhyme and inspire your children with positive messages? If so, you and your children will love Come Back Dear Sun by Geena Bean!

Come Back Dear Sun tells the delightful story of an 8-year old girl who wakes up to discover that the sun is missing. Unconvinced by her father that it will return on her own, she organizes a search with her 6-year old sister and her neighborhood friends to determine why the sun has disappeared – and to convince it to return!

This book is lots of fun to read aloud!

The Up North Adventure Series by G. M. Moore

Up North Adventure Series

Often, parents have trouble getting their sons to read. If your middle-grade boys fall into this category, you’ll be pleased to introduce them to the Up North Adventure Series by G.M. Moore!

This series consists of three books – Muskie Attack, Ancient Elk Hunt, and Snakehead Invasion – and chronicle the outdoor adventures of Corbett III (Griffy) and his newfound friends each summer when he is sent to his Uncle’s fishing resort to enjoy the great outdoors. A city boy at heart, Griffy is surprised to discover the new skills and adventures that await him!

If this sounds like a book your children would enjoy, be sure to check out The Secret Of Maggie’s Swamp by Paul A. Barra as well!

The Perpetual Papers Of The Pack Of Pets

The Perpetual Papers Of The Pack Of Pets

Finally – if you’ve ever wondered what cats and dogs who live together really think of one another – and if they really get along – be sure to check out The Perpetual papers Of The Pack Of Pets – a delightful series of letters written by Katrina con Cat – the self-proclaimed Master of Wisdom and Knowledge – and Stanley the black Labrador/Rottweiler mix, who does his best to ignore Katrina!

Nice choices, I haven’t heard of some of these. I also participated in this bloghop, wasn’t it hard deciding after a year of reading. But it was fun. I will have to check out your choices.
