The Dancing Master – Book Review

Imagine what it would be like to live in a remote English village where people are not allowed to dance because the matriarch of the village has banned it, for reasons hidden deep within her past…

Imagine what it would be like to move your family from the bustling city of London to a tiny town in Devonshire, hoping to make a new start, only to learn that dance – the one thing you have mastered – the one thing that you earn your livelihood from – is not welcome in your new home town?

Imagine what it would be like to be a young woman, torn between two worlds… the matriarch’s daughter, drawn to the handsome young stranger like a moth to the flame… desperately trying to unravel the web of secrets that those around her… secrets others would rather keep hidden?

If you love a good story – if you love historical romance – if you love characters shrouded in secrets and mystery – you will love The Dancing Master by award-winning writer Julie Klassen!

Julie is a masterful storyteller who magically transports you back in time and sweeps you off your feet with The Dancing Master – a beautifully written novel that brings the English Regency period to life.

The stories of the main characters are compelling– it won’t be long until you find yourselves wrapped up in the drama of their lives!

If you love Jane Eyre – if you love Jane Austen – you will feel right at home within the pages of this book.

The Dancing Master is the first book I’ve read by Julie Klassen. Based on this story, I look forward to reading many more novels by this author!

I read her book, The Silent Governess, years ago and I really enjoyed it. I own a couple more of her books that I really need to get to. This one sounds like another good one. Great review. Thanks for sharing the giveaway too!
