Scraps Of Evidence by Barbara Cameron

Scraps Of Evidence

Scraps Of Evidence – Book Review

I have always been enchanted by the beauty of quilts. Not only are they lovely to behold, but quilts tell the stories of the women who created them.

Some quilts tell stories of love and loss. Other quilts tell stories of hope and faith, tradition and new beginnings. A few rare quilts hold secrets that only the trained eye can see.

In Scraps Of Evidence, author Barbara Cameron has written an engaging cozy mystery that explores the question:

Can a quilt really hold the secrets of a cunning serial killer?

This question is ultimately explored by newly promoted, small town detective Tess Villanova and Logan McMillan, her big city partner who has just arrived in town. As they investigate their first case together – a homicide that Tess believes is related to the unsolved murder of her childhood friend Samantha – Tess takes a personal interest in seeing that the case is resolved and Logan develops a personal interest in Tess.

I really enjoyed reading Scraps Of Evidence – the 14th book in the Quilts Of Love series from Abingdon Press. At just over 200 pages in length, the book is an easy, casual read.

The mystery portion of the plot was not as complicated as I would have liked – if you pay close attention, there are plenty of clues to the killer’s identity placed throughout the book.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more of the stand-alone books in the Quilt Of Mysteries series!

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.
