Critical Condition – Book Review
If a good medical thriller from a critically acclaimed author is something that’s on your list of things to read this season – than add Critical Condition by Richard L. Mabry, M.D. to your reading list!
Critical Condition is a fast-paced novel that takes us deep into the world and psyche of Dr. Shannon Frasier – a highly esteemed physician whose life was forever changed a decade ago when her boyfriend died of a gunshot wound during her first year as a medical student.
Now she’s moved on – or so she thought.
In spite of her fear of commitment, she has an “almost-fiance” – Dr. Mark Gilbert. Together they’re celebrating the achievement of a colleague with a few of their friends. And then – déjà vu. Gunshots ring out and a body is discovered on the lawn. A torrential flood of memories come pouring back for Dr. Shannon and her days become a living nightmare.
Critical Condition is a gripping story that will pull you in from the start and will keep you pouring over the pages until you reach the very suspenseful conclusion.
If you enjoy engaging stories that keep you guessing who did it until the end – stories that involve realistic characters struggling with matters of family and faith – I recommend Richard L. Mabry’s Critical Condition to you!
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
