Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!
Wordless Wednesday – Do You See What I See?
Hello everyone – it’s Magellan!
For the past week, I’ve been hearing a lot of talk
About the Christmas season.
Do you know what that means?
Since I was just a wee little kitten this time last year,
And everything was really a blur,
I’m not really sure what Christmas is all about,
So this year, I’m keeping my eyes and ears open for clues.
Guess what I discovered today!
A Nativity set that my Mom inherited from her Mom!
I think this warrants a closer look…
Do you see what I see?
A child in a manger – a Savior for all the world to see!
The angels… the wise men… the shepherds…
And the animals, who stood watch over them all!
Do you know what this means?
Christmas is for all of God’s creatures, great and small,
Including us cool cats!
What wondrous discoveries are you making this December?
Please share your stories with us in the comments
And have a week filled of Wordless Wednesday wonder!

Thanks – I love Nativity sets too and this one holds a special place in my heart – I think that if I had the space and the funds I could easily collect a different set each year!

Thank you Kate – you too! My husband and I were moving unopened boxes in preparation for decorating today and this one broke so we ended up going through it and came across this set! The pieces were not packaged well at all – we were sure from the sounds that they were broken – but God watched over them in transit and when we unpacked it, everything was in one piece! As I put the set together to take a picture, Magellan – who had been watching from the wings – came pouncing over to check it out! I had another cat who also loved Nativity scenes.

Great shot of Magellan peering at the inherited Nativity Scene!

Thanks Christina! I had a few more shots I wanted to share but they came out a little blurry – Magellan’s latest nickname is The Flash because he moves so fast, he often appears in our photos as one big blur!
He is cute on whatever angle =)

Thanks Merlinda! 🙂
I am surprised that it is still intact, so well behaved

Honestly, if you could have heard all of the clanking in that box (NONE of those pieces were wrapped) – you’d know it’s a Christmas miracle!

I love discovering new Christmas songs each season and I am truly enjoying this one today!
The all curious Magellan is having a blast and has already discovered every toy we have brought him this season…
So naughty but SO endearing!
Enjoy your day!

A knitted Nativity? Wow, I”d love to see that!
You were so lucky to find the lovely heirloom, Third Generation Nativity for yourself, just in time for the birth of Christ celebration!
Thank you for hosting and greetings to Magellan.

Gorgeous cat, beautiful nativity set, meaningful song. Thanks for sharing.
Magellan now knows what the season of giving means: we have been given the ultimate gift of a Savior. God’s gift is simple and effective, no crowded stores to endure. We are grateful for the kindness of that gift…and for the gifts our four-legged family members too 🙂
I so love Magellan photos. Not ready for Christmas music yet though.
Oh I love that Nativity! What a great thing to Inherit.
Oh my goodness, you just reminded me of my mom’s nativity that’s in a closet in my room!!! I’m going to get it now!
I’m praying for you Ramona! God will get you through!

What a nice looking nativity scene! I’m so glad you shared this because I need to get my nativity scene out on display. I’ve just been so slow this Christmas season to getting things done. What’s wrong with me? I have no idea! *sigh* Oh well…thanks for hosting the #WW fun. Enjoy this blessed Christmas season!

Thanks Cathy – looks like that photo jogged a lot of people’s memories!
We’ve been sick so our decorating is going slow.
Don’t stress it though – just savor the season!
Nice festive post. Love the cat! 🙂
Astrid has discovered if she curls up in a tight little ball that she can fit nicely into the center of a wreath Mom has left on the table and snooze the day away. Mom now says she doesn’t want to hang the wreath and take away Astrid’s favorite new “bed.” Ho, ho, ho, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

How adorable! Magellan has been jumping in the wreath centers but he’s much too big to fit!
Would love to see a pic of your adorable Astrid curled up in a little kitty ball though…
You always have the best photos. Right now I have a great Give Away. You could win two great books over at the Commonweeder.com. Hope to see you.

Thank you and Felicia SO much for the book!
Will be sending out some tweets as soon as I am feeling better! 🙂
What a cutie and great rendition of the Christmas story. Thanks for the linky!
Love the image of your cat looking at the nativity. We recently adopted two kittens and they’ve so far enjoyed chasing each other around the base of our tree! Luckily they haven’t tried to climb it…yet!

says:
Thanks Carrie – your kittens sound so sweet! Hope they stay out of your tree!
Winter holidays in our family are actually a mash up of Christmas, Hanukkah and the Winter Solstice, owing to a diversity of religion amongst family members. I wouldn’t have it any way. 🙂
I may not be Christian, but I do wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you Emilie! I also come from a diverse background and although I am Christian, have celebrated all of these holidays as well!
