Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!
Quote Of The Week
Prowling his own quiet backyard or asleep by the fire,
He is still only a whisker away from the wilds.

Magellan Sees A Squirrel!
Here’s His First Person Scoop!
Today, as I was sitting in my favorite window,
I saw a sight that made my head spin.
High in the tree between the buildings,
I saw a squirrel!
He ran back and forth across the trees,
Dropping crunchy acorns across the parking lot.
My eyes grew wide as saucers.
How could I meet this fascinating creature?
I tried running back and forth across the window,
Crawling up the wall, and
Jumping up and down on the furniture,
But nothing I did brought me any closer to that squirrel!
There’s got to be a way to meet him!
I want to know this creature’s secrets!
I will not be defeated!
To be continued…
Has your pet ever met a squirrel?
What do you think would happen if he or she did?
Check out the videos –the reality might surprise you!

You should see him in action! He runs across the furniture and tries to run through the walls to get to where the squirrel should be but cannot figure out why there is a solid wall when – when he is at the window – he can clearly see that there is a whole world with a tree and a squirrel on the other side!
I can’t even open my window in my very hot 2nd floor office/craft room anymore for fear that he will get out – purchasing a heavily reinforced screen is high on my list of things to shop for on my spring prep list!

Great captures! Magellan is so cute!
That fascinated stare! So cute =)
He does look a bit amazed.
We don’t have squirrels in Australia but our equivalent are Gecko, tiny lizards, they provide great amusement!

A true hunter! Thanks for hosting & God bless!
Beautiful cat!
No wonder I like featuring cats and squirrels as protagonists in my fantasy stories!

Look at that cat eye the squirrel.
Curious kitty! And so gorgeous as always 🙂
We’re kind of hoping to meet the squirrels here someday, too, Magellan. Keep us posted on any progress you make, okay? Hugs! – Moosey, Gracie and Zoe
I can just imagine his excitement!! That would be quite the conversation!! Jx
My cats have the same problem! They know the squirrel is outside and will run from room to room to use the windows across the back of our house to try and keep up!
I still love hearing them chatter at the birds. I can’t believe none of our other cats ever did that!
Have a great week Ramona!

I have several bird feeders in my yard and squirrels are always trying to steal seed. All I have to say is “Squirrel” and all 3 of my dogs go flying out the doggy door to chase it away. They haven’t caught one yet.
Do you think your kitty try to catch a squirrel if given the chance?

I have a Siberian husky. They don’t play with squirrels well. I have to keep him on a tight leash if we see one while walking!
The pictures of Magellan look so much like my Elli on a daily basis looking out the arcadia doors in my bedroom into the atrium where the birds sit in my trees every morning. We call it “Elli television!” Hahaha!
Thanks for hosting this linky. Wishing you a fabulous Wordless Wednesday!

Happy Wordless Wednesday!
Those videos are so amazing. The squirrel trying to bury the acorn in the dogs’ fur is absolutely nutty! MOL! Those of us who have outdoor privileges love to chase them; though, the squirrels have been known to chase Misty May. The rest of us watch them from the Catio while they taunt us. magellan is so cute! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

LOL Magellan wants the squirrel!
Magellan was so cute watching that squirrel. I feed squirrels peanuts outside everyday so our cats get to watch them quite a bit. They sure wish they could get outside to catch one.
Loved those video’s. I’m showing them to my granddaughter, she’ll get a big kick out of them too.
My dogs can spend all day watching the squirrels play in my backyard. It’s too funny.
Those are lovely pictures! I love the lion mane! If Ali saw a squirrel she would be long gone before I could get a picture.
Oh goodness! I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to behave myself quite so well around a squirrel! *wags* – Gilligan from WagsAhoy.com
Aw, this is so cute! Those squirrels are endlessly fascinating, huh? Ours are all tucked away in their nests, but when they do venture out, they have our kitties’ undivided attention.
Squirrels are great fun! My kitties love to watch them too. Great photos 🙂
I love Magellan! Mittens lays at the door and watches the birds in the feeder. I don’t know what she’d do if she saw a squirrel.
our cat, Oliver, is pretty familiar with squirrels. He sadly, brought home part of a squirrel tail one day, and another day we watched him catch one- but I went out and made him let it go. Oliver is getting on in years, so happily, he leaves the squirrels alone now. Our labradoodle, though, is very excited everytime she sees one.
My cats recently met a rabbit. It drove them mad with excitement.
Hiya, I just popped over from the Pet Parade blog hop. Nice to meet you and loved the vid of the baby squirrels and the Momma cat.
Thanks for stopping in and helping make the party more fun! Your Magellan is a real handsome guy!
I can’t imagine what my cat would do if she encountered a squirrel! I am betting, though, that I could get a blog post out of it too! 😉
