Book Nook at Create With Joy

Welcome to the Book Nook At Create With Joy!

Welcome to the Book Nook at Create With Joy – a place where book lovers gather to share their collective love of books, reading, and all things literary!

Our goal is to establish a family-friendly community where bibliophiles from all backgrounds – readers, bloggers, reviewers, writers, authors, teachers, librarians, parents, home-schoolers, publicists and publishers – can share what’s new in the world of books, blogging, and publishing!

At each gathering, we’ll share book-related news and fill you in on what’s happening around the blogosphere. We’ll also provide a link where you can share your book-related and literacy-related posts as well!

Please help the Book Nook grow by adding our beautiful blog button and links to your blog/posts and spreading the word on your social media sites so that others can join the fun!

Chat In The Comments: The Library

Library Quote

Welcome to our 8th gathering of The Book Nook at Create With Joy! I’m thrilled to welcome those of you who are just discovering our community as well as those who have been with us from the start!

Recently the American Library Association celebrated National Library Week. To commemorate the occasion, we invite you to answer the following questions in the comments:

When was the last time you visited your local library?
How has your library usage changed over the years?

As a child, I visited my local library, school library and bookmobile as often as I could, making them my second home! In high school, I even worked in my school library, briefly considering a career as a librarian. These days, however, while I remain a staunch supporter of the library system, my current use of it has waned due to personal circumstances.

Not it’s your turn! We look forward to reading your responses – and, we’d love to know if you are participating in any of these upcoming events as well!

Spring Horror Read-A-Thon (April 20 – 26)

Spring into Horror Read-a-thon

If you enjoy reading thrillers, mysteries, Gothic novels, or horror – it’s not too late to join the Spring Into Horror Read-A-Thon!

ONE scary book (as defined above) is all it takes to qualify for prizes – all other reading can be in a genre of your choice!

Reading List

  • Undetected by Dee Henderson
  • A Sparrow In Terezin by Kristy Cambron
  • Buried Secrets by Irene Hannon

Amazon Book Reviewer Boost – Back By Request!

Amazon Reviews

Are you a reader or consumer who uses Amazon reviews to help you decide whether or not to read a book or purchase a product? Are you an author who relies on Amazon reviews to help you sell books?

Today, I’d like to invite you to support those members of our community who take their time to provide you with quality reviews on Amazon!

If you are an Amazon book reviewer, you are invited to share your Amazon Book Review profile on this very special link-up.

Then – EVERYONE in our community (but especially those participating in the boost) – are invited to visit as many reviewers as possible – choose one or more reviews that they like – and indicate that YES, the review was helpful to them!

This will help our reviewers to increase their ranking in the Amazon community – let them know their reviews are being read – and encourage them to continue participating in the program!

IMPORTANT: ONLY Add your Amazon Reviewer Profile to this list!
Add your Blog Posts to the Book Nook Link-Up (BELOW!)
ALL Non-Amazon Reviewer Links will be deleted from this list!

I was one of those kids who constantly visited the library and checked out a stack of books. I fell out of touch with the library for awhile, but recently I’ve been taking my 2 1/2 year old up there so that she can start her love for the library already. I love that place 🙂
