What’s Inspiring Me This Week?
Here’s A Few Highlights I’d Like To Share!
This week is the 96th Anniversary of Children’s Book Week –
The longest-running national literacy initiative in the country.
Create With Joy fully supports the work of this organization –
Which is to help young readers and books connect –
And looks forward to sharing some fabulous children’s books
(Including a few fun giveaways) this week!
Card-making doesn’t have to be complicated.
When time is fleeting, use what’s on hand to create a
Clean and Simple card!
Does your pet have a favorite place to hang out –
No matter how inconvenient it may be to you?
That question – inspired by photos of
Tsunami, the Original Keyboard Cat –
Struck a nerve with readers this week as stories of the
Places pets love to hang out –
And the unexpected results of their choices –
Are still pouring in!
If you have a story to share, we’d love to hear it!
This week, I read two books I believe have a place
On everybody’s reading list:
Tox-Sick contains cutting-edge medical information
From six leading medical specialists on how to protect ourselves
From the onslaught of environmental toxins that
Make us ill and threaten our lives.
Read my review and watch the video for more information
On this very important book!
The Heart Of The Amish provides insights and lessons
On how we can forgive and bless those who have hurt us deeply
Based on insights learned from the Amish –
A people who forgive under the most impossible of circumstances!
Again – for your spiritual and emotional well-being –
I encourage you to take a look at this wonderful book!
What Inspired You This Week?
Here’s A Few Of Our Favorite Featured Selections!
If you are a participant in the Documented Life Project –
Are looking for prompts for your art journal –
Or enjoy reading about how artists create –
Visit Mary Nasser this week as she shares how this
Wonderful quote from Gabrielle Roth inspired her to
Create this energetic piece of artwork!
One of my favorite posts of the week was
Jo’s list of simple ways to create more joy in our lives.
I encourage you to share her post – to print out the list –
And to strive to incorporate as many of these items
Into each day as possible!
Another artist who inspired me this week was Arnoldo Romero.
I love the illustration he created to bring this wonderful quote to life.
Visit his post to see more of his spectacular creations –
And a rare peek at his sweet and very happy cat!
If you want to learn how to make beautiful decorations for your home,
Look no further than Shoestring Elegance!
This week, Teresa shows us how to create a stunning
Vintage Floral Cone from floral and scrapbooking supplies!
Life is demanding – especially on relationships.
Sheila reminds us to make marriage a daily priority –
To remember that our spouses are precious gifts from above.
When time is short and you have a hungry family to feed,
Miz Helen recommends this easy-to-make Chicken Tortilla Skillet.
I like it because it makes such a colorful addition to our menu!
Another irresistible dish from Miz Helen –
Her family’s Old-Fashioned Mac And Pea Salad!
She says it’s great for picnics, family get-togethers and covered-dish dinners.
I think it’s great any time!
Do you come from a family that has dealt with addiction?
If so, have you struggled with how much to share
Of your family’s history with your children?
If so, you will want to read Krista’s article
About how she shared her father’s past with her children – and why.
It’s a unique perspective from an insightful mom!

This Week’s Theme – Your Choice
If you’re a fan of The Voice, you know that the competition is heating up as we move into the Top 6 this week. With several strong contenders fighting for the title, the competition is wide open. Do you have a favorite? Here’s a sampling of the talent, based on a few of my favorite recent performances:
Sawyer Fredericks – Iris
I’ve been a fan of super-talented Sawyer’s of Team Pharrell from the start. Can he carry it to the finish line? This youngster might just have my vote…
Kimberly Nichole – Creep
This week, Team Christina’s Kimberly Nichole had a breakthrough moment with her emotionally wrought rendition of Radiohead’s Creep. If she continues to show her vulnerable side, could she bring home Christina’s first win?
Meghan Linsey – Something
Another power-house vocalist is Team Blake’s remaining singer, Meghan Linsey, who continues to up her ante each week. Will Blake work his magic this year and pull out another win?
Hope you enjoyed the music. Have a joy-filled week!
Talent is timeless.
