This week is the 96th Anniversary of Children’s Book Week –
The longest-running national literacy initiative in the country.

Which is to help young readers and books connect –
And looks forward to sharing some fabulous children’s books
(Including a few fun giveaways) this week!

Cute As A Button Card

Card-making doesn’t have to be complicated.

Clean and Simple card!

The Original Keyboard Cat

Tsunami - Keyboard Tray 3

Does your pet have a favorite place to hang out –
No matter how inconvenient it may be to you?

That question – inspired by photos of
Tsunami, the Original Keyboard Cat –
Struck a nerve with readers this week as stories of the
Places pets love to hang out –
And the unexpected results of their choices –
Are still pouring in!

If you have a story to share, we’d love to hear it!

Two Books You Simply Must Read

This week, I read two books I believe have a place
On everybody’s reading list:

Tox-Sick From Toxic To Not Sick

Tox-Sick contains cutting-edge medical information
From six leading medical specialists on how to protect ourselves
From the onslaught of environmental toxins that
Make us ill and threaten our lives.
Read my review and watch the video for more information
On this very important book!

The Heart Of The Amish

The Heart Of The Amish provides insights and lessons
On how we can forgive and bless those who have hurt us deeply
Based on insights learned from the Amish –
A people who forgive under the most impossible of circumstances!
Again – for your spiritual and emotional well-being –
I encourage you to take a look at this wonderful book!

Into each day as possible!

Arnoldo – A Truly Rich Man

Why Im Honest With My Kids About Addiction

Do you come from a family that has dealt with addiction?
If so, have you struggled with how much to share
Of your family’s history with your children?

If so, you will want to read Krista’s article
About how she shared her father’s past with her children – and why.
It’s a unique perspective from an insightful mom!

Music To Inspire You
Welcome To
Music Moves Me!
This Week’s Theme – Your Choice

If you’re a fan of The Voice, you know that the competition is heating up as we move into the Top 6 this week. With several strong contenders fighting for the title, the competition is wide open. Do you have a favorite? Here’s a sampling of the talent, based on a few of my favorite recent performances:

Sawyer Fredericks – Iris

I’ve been a fan of super-talented Sawyer’s of Team Pharrell from the start. Can he carry it to the finish line? This youngster might just have my vote…

Kimberly Nichole – Creep

This week, Team Christina’s Kimberly Nichole had a breakthrough moment with her emotionally wrought rendition of Radiohead’s Creep. If she continues to show her vulnerable side, could she bring home Christina’s first win?

Meghan Linsey – Something

Another power-house vocalist is Team Blake’s remaining singer, Meghan Linsey, who continues to up her ante each week. Will Blake work his magic this year and pull out another win?

Hope you enjoyed the music. Have a joy-filled week!

    Ramona,

My post this week is about dreams versus to do lists. One of my dreams? To get on your front page on Monday or Friday!! 🙂 Here’s to optimism!

    Have a wonderful day!

Heading over to Mary’s and I just LOVE Sawyer. He has such an old soul!

  14. MB says:

My pastor’s sermon yesterday afternoon has inspired me to think about my relationship with Jesus 🙂 We were looking at giving, in the context of 2 Corinthians 8, and how the church was generous in trials and poverty because they had joy.

This joy existed despite their circumstances and stemmed from their relationship with Jesus. Our pastor encouraged us that when we consider our giving not to get out our budgets and check our bank balances but to think about our relationship with Jesus.

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My JOY may be in you, and that your JOY may be made full.” (John 15: 10-11)

  15. I love the card and the cat. Joy is becoming more important to me as I delve further into my business and why I create jewelry and headcoverings.

    Thanks.

  16. Poppy says:

Love the quote, Ramona! So true!

Thanks for the party, and have a wonderful week!
