Chat In The Comments: What’s Your Favorite Genre?

Special Books

Welcome to our 9th gathering of The Book Nook at Create With Joy! I’m thrilled to welcome those of you who are just discovering our community as well as those who have been with us from the start!

This week, inquiring minds would like to know:

What is your favorite genre of books to read or –
If you read across genres –
What genre do you currently find yourself gravitating towards?

I enjoy reading a lot of different types of books so I don’t have a favorite genre, per se – I think I’m a “mood reader”! At this moment, if I had the opportunity to read whatever I wanted, I would love to get lost in a good mystery/suspense/thriller!

Now it’s your turn to share! We look forward to reading your responses!

  1. Thanks for hosting! I like mysteries, mostly, but historical fiction and romance are a close second.

Since I’ve started blogging, Shecki, my exposure to genres of books has broadened and I have really grown to appreciate some of the wonderful historical fiction and romance stories that are out there!

Thanks for joining us – hope your weekend is “greatly blessed”! 🙂

Hi, sorry I don’t have a new book for today, I do go to some of your other great blog parties too.
I wanted to come and invite you to join the other Blog parties in our WiseBoost Linky. Blog parties will get 3 weeks + free advertising on this linky. I won’t take up space here so I will leave you an information link. The Linky just went live and we would love your parties to join in the fun with other party owners.

    Thanks so much,
    Kathleen

Oh my! There is so much in this post, love it! I guess my favorite genre has to be crime fiction, although I like fantasy, and historicals as well.

  7. My favorite genre lately seems to be, hands down, childrens’ picture books. I have an pre-reading bookworm who loves being read to. When I have a moment to read on my own, I’ve honestly been picking up inspirational non-fiction stories lately.

I’ve pinned your post, thanks for sharing at #SmallVictoriesSundayLinkup …hope to see you again this week!

  8. Thanks! I’m always looking for new linkies & have now added this one to my blog. How often do you start a new linky? And on what day?

I missed Armchair BEA entirely! I just linked up our Travel the World in Books Readalong selection for June..The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton, set in Australia. Hope you can join us. This one qualifies for the Big Book Summer Challenge I am doing too.
