What’s On My Desk This Week? Sunshine In A Card!
As you move through June and count down towards the official start of Summer, are you finding yourself hampered by pesky pollen and airborne allergens that lead to a bad case of the summertime sniffles?
If so, I’d like to dedicate today’s cheery Get Well Card to you!
Few things brighten one’s day more than a burst of flowers and sunshine and the knowledge that someone is thinking of you from afar!
The card base consists of textured sunflower yellow cardstock with a strip of elegant, floral patterned paper that adds shades of green, lavender and yellow to the color mix.
Next, the purple cardstock that is layered under the floral image was torn and distressed to add dimension without bulk.
Finally, the color-coordinated ribbon, flowers and embellishments were added to support the underlying theme, and the sentiment was stamped in purple as well.
Creating a Clean and Simple card like this is the perfect way to use up the odds and ends that are lying around in your scrap bag!

They say that laugher is the best medicine – so, since Ike’s World Challenges has a lyric inspired theme this week – I wanted to share this “stirring little anthem moment of wellness” which will bring a smile to your face if you are a fan of Seinfeld’s:

I’m lucky, I don’t have a pollen allergy and I really am grateful for it. I get a pretty horrible reaction to Mosquitos, but fortunately (???) here in the UK, they aren’t too much of a problem! I love that you picked out the purple square on the background paper to anchor your flower on the card.
