What’s On Your Work Desk This Week? #316

Hello dear friends – can you believe that it’s time for another round of What’s On Your Work Desk Wednesday (WOYWW)?

Every week, it seems like time flies by faster and faster!

The other day, I was shocked to learn that Independence Day – one of our most festive holidays here in the States – is just a week and a half away! Time to clean house! Time to send out barbecue invitations! Time to make cards in anticipation of this great holiday!

I have a large collection of red, white and blue stuff since I love the 4th of July,, so I pulled out my Close To My Heart Cardstock and Paper (Blue Ribbon) – Stamps (July Word Puzzle, D1289) and Ink (Moonstruck) – created some fuzzy tags with patriotic mulberry paper and embellishments – added some ribbon and bling – and created the card you see before you!

For those of you who live in the States, how will you be celebrating the Fourth? For those of you who live outside of the States, when do you celebrate your country’s independence?

Now it’s your turn to share your creations with us! What have you created or acquired this week? Whether you’re showing off your desk, sharing your latest acquisitions, or spotlighting your latest creation – be sure to share it with our creative community at our weekly parties as well!

Hi Joy….happy WOYWW….super patriotic card – hear it is a big thing in the US, here in Australia we celebrate Australia day – Australia Day is on January 26 and commemorates the establishment of the first European settlement at Port Jackson, now part of Sydney, in 1788.
Have fun with the preparations for your big day. cheers RobynO#18

    What a wonderful card.
I envy the US for their holidays.
Ours in the UK are so boring in comparison lol 🙂 #27

  6. Your card is great and very patriotic. Being English I don’t celebrate Independence Day but it is my friend Allan’s birthday so I also have something to celebrate. I’ll think of you too.

  11. Yes! That silly holiday is almost upon us. I just broke out with the RWB stuff too. I have a ridiculous amount of it. I am always stumped for ideas though. I love your card, very festive and your tags make me think of rockets. As for what I’ll be doing. With any luck, I might be driving back home across the desert. If not, hey at least I’ll be in a small town and they tend to do fun things for Independence Day. Judy #50

Yes, the tags are supposed to have that rocket feel to them – that’s why there aren’t any ribbons on them!
      So glad you got that!
Hope you enjoy your 4th and can’t wait to see what you do with your Red White And Blue stash!

We do not really celebrate July 4th here. Why? Well, family and friends live far away, so we enjoy the day – hopefully – doing something outdoors. Nothing out of the usual, just enjoying.

I hope you are going to have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I am fortunate Claudia – I am in walking distance of our community’s firework display! We will be barbecuing for our friends and then enjoying the show that evening! (If it wasn’t so hot, we would go early to hear the bands play before hand but where I live it is always a scorcher!)
