Welcome to the 2016 New Year Blog Hop!
Welcome to the New Year Blog Hop at Create With Joy! I am SO excited to share another year with you – and to meet you if you are beginning your creative journey with us!
The purpose of this event is for us to inspire and encourage one another to start fresh, dream big, and accomplish amazing things in 2016!
The New Year Blog Hop will be open during the entire month of January for you to share the “One Word” you have chosen to guide you through 2016 as well as the goals, resolutions and priorities you have set for yourself during the New Year!
I highly encourage you to bookmark this page and take the time to visit one another throughout the month – to connect with and encourage one another – and to draw inspiration from each other. Please share this party with your friends and readers as well!
Be sure to share your updates and progress reports throughout the month. By sticking with us for the next 31 days, you’ll be well past the 21 days it takes to form a new habit – and on track to keep the momentum going in the months to go!
Share Your One Word For 2016!
For the past several years, many of us have chosen One Word to guide us through the year – a guiding principle to help you become the person you want to be, change the habits you want to change, live the life you want to lead.
Have you chosen your word to guide you through the upcoming year? Link your posts and/or share your Words in the comments!
My word for 2016 is FOCUS.
Share Your Dreams, Goals, Resolutions & Favorite Quotes!
What are your dreams for the New Year? Have you set specific goals or made traditional resolutions? Do you have an inspiring quote you’d like to share?
Please link these posts at the party and/or share your thoughts in the comments as well!
I’d like to share this inspiring thought from one Sarah Ban Breathnach:
New Year’s Day. A fresh start. A new chapter in life waiting to be written. New questions to be asked, embraced, and loved. Answers to be discovered and then lived in this transformative year of delight and self-discovery. Today carve out a quiet interlude for yourself in which to dream, pen in hand. Only dreams give birth to change.
Enjoy the party – and may your year be filled with joy!

Happy New Year! I’m going to focus and say yes- that’s the plan.
I’ve recently stumbled upon this One Word New Years Resolution. Its such a great idea. Sharing our words here creates a warm, caring place to be open. Thank you

I haven’t chosen a word for 2016, yet. I have actually never done that before, however, I may start this year with it. There are a few more meditation lessons I have to catch up on and I think this may be part of one 🙂
Happy New Year, Ramona. May it bring you a lot of joy, wonderful memories and creations and… focus 🙂

Thanks you so much Claudia – as a creative individual, you know how it is, SO many ideas always floating through your head –
I hope to be less “diffusive” and more like a focused laser beam, metaphorically speaking, in the year to come! 🙂

I shared my post from Mommynificent about my Bible reading plan for this year as well as my post from Desperate Homeschoolers about how I hope to do better about having devotions with my kids this year. My word for this year is FEARLESS. I’ve never thought of myself as a fearful person, but I’ve been seeing lately some areas where fear of man is really holding me back.
Blessings on your New Year!

Hi Tina,
I LOVE your post and ideas for your Bible Reading Plan! I love your word also!
Although I have several devotionals I am going through piecemeal, I wanted a more FOCUSED approach for the New Year, so I am going through She Reads Truth – an awesome group I discovered towards the end of the year through one of the launch team projects I was involved in!
You can access their materials in several ways – free via e-mail, for a small fee via app (finding this is working best for me as it puts everything right at my fingertips) – or via book.
Look forward to the follow up re: your Bible reading plans!
Thanks so much for creating and facilitating Create With Joy. My word for the year is Love.

Thanks, it’s been an amazing start already. We are only 8 days in, and I’ve made so many new friends, and have learned much. I’m excited for the days ahead.
Happy New Year! What a fun idea.
Focus was my word a few years ago. This year it’s INTENTIONAL. Thanks for doing this! Looking forward to reading the blogs.

I love this idea! Posting my personal finance goals! Thanks for sharing on the Small Victories Sunday Linkup!
Lovely quote, yes with coffee in hand, pen and journal I have been putting down my dreams and aspirations for the year. Whilst my word of the year is Humour. Great idea have linked my post. Happy New Year.
Love this blog! My word for the year is LOVE. I don’t mean it in a hippy kind of way, I mean put love and thoughtfulness into the things that I do. I am developing a career I have always wanted to pursue, caring for my family, and focusing on what is important. From now on I am going to try very hard to infuse everything I do with LOVE.

The one word concept has been effective in my personal growth. I like your choice of FOCUS. I have thought and prayed about my word for 2016. I have chosen FRUITFUL (with dependence on Jesus).
Nice.
What a pleasure to have the opportunity to share our one word resolutions in this wonderful blog hop! Thanks for creating rich opportunities for sharing and friendship! All the best, Deborah
I love finding the perfect word(s) for the new year. I choose forgiveness this year as well as kindness. I am always grateful for all the things in my life that make me better. Happy New Year and thanks for sharing.

Anne, those are wonderful words! I worked a lot on forgiveness last year and I feel so much freer moving into this new year!
Focus is a great word to focus on 🙂
You can do it!!
My word is flourish 🙂
Thanks for the goal setting party, and partying with us at #MMBH!
XOXO
Thanks again for a fun party! LOVE that word of the year concept – mine is Endure (as in: to last).
Here’s to a new year full of God’s BEST for you <3
Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday! Hope to see you link up again this week 🙂
Neat idea. I like how you left the link-up open for updates. I’ve been writing about my word “teamwork,” on a weekly basis. It’s been a great way to keep me focused and on-track! Wishing you a blessed week!
I haven’t written a blog post about it yet, but my word for the year is Present. I want to be more present this year instead of glued to my phone, computer or iPad. I will be back to post when I get it written!
I really feel I need to add more creativity to my life so I chose “create” as my word for 2016. To help me do this I came up with a year long project. So far so good as week 2 ends.
