Friend Of The Week – Tina

Tina - Momminificent

This week I’m delighted to introduce you to Tina, the blogger behind
Momminifent!

I first met Tina through our love of books and connected with her because of our shared faith – but she has a magnificent story to share that will delight the parents among us as well!

Tina and her family of seven – which includes her husband, her three growing girls, and her two delightful boys – are Americans who live abroad. Her daughters were born in Indonesia, and they now reside in Malaysia, where her sons were born.

When her youngest daughter Maggie – shown in the picture – was two-and-a-half, her aunt gave her a book that made frequent use of the adjective magnificent.

Magpie, of course, thought the book was about her, and not only declared herself Mag-nificent – but soon began proclaiming the rest of her family nificent as well!

So, when it became time to create Tina’s blog – Mommynificent was born!

On Mommynificent, you’ll find many delightful tales and tidbits about Tina’s and her family’s life in Southeast Asia, as well as books, recipes, and the weekly Booknificent link-up!

    Thank-you for hosting and encouraging community! Because I have been a childbirth nurse and know the joy of family my blog has the title, Labor of Love. I write about issues that concern women’s health and the home. Faith and guidance from the Bible supports the family, and so I share my faith. I like to include tips on herbs and gardening. And sometimes I will post a recipe that my family enjoys.

    Thanks so much for introducing us to Tina! And, what a great idea to have a social media boost link up in addition to the Friendship Friday link up! (If you’ve done it before, I missed it as I’m fairly new here! 🙂 ) Anyway, to answer your questions, my blog is The Beauty in His Grip and I’ve been out here in the blogsphere for a while. Six years ago I began my blog out of my love for Christ and what He has done in my life. The title of my blog comes from my discovery that no matter how far we fall, we are never so far that we are beyond the reach of God. He has a hold of me, and I have found incredible “beauty in His grip.” (I explain that a bit more in the little tidbit that is at the bottom of each of my posts.) Anyway, thanks again for this community and the opportunity to participate in both of these link parties today!

    I lost my college-aged 20 year old son, yet in a dream I saw him dancing with Jesus. Thus the name. I know God loves us each uniquely and eternally and that’s what I write about. Susan

    Thank you so much for hosting the link up! The name of my blog is Faithfully Committed. When my husband and I decided to start a blog, we were looking for something that communicated our commitment to Christ and to one another. We ended up using the phrase from the Resolution for Women. In the movie Courageous, the men pledge and sign the Resolution for Men. My husband and I used this and the woman’s version as part of our vows at our wedding. One of the lines states, “I will live as a woman answerable to God and faithfully committed to His Word.” I want to be a woman faithfully committed to God, my husband, and our family. As a result, we decided that Faithfully Committed would be the perfect name! 🙂 Thanks again!

    I am learning new things in blog world and appreciate you hosting so I could learn how to add my post here. Amazing! I am not the most technology savvy gal! My blog Phamilyblog or Annesphamily is primarily about my phamily. I was involved with Princess House Products for nearly 16 years so I choose to spell family with the ph instead. I will visit Tina too. I love blogging and have met so many wonderful people including a few face to face. I too reply on my faith and love knowing others who share. I started blogging in November 2009 on a push from a dear friend I have known since we were pen pals at age 13 long, long ago! Barb at dogmomdiva encouraged me to write about our middle daughters dog who was diagnosed with liver cancer. Gosh I did not know a thing back then. Today I write some posts about my childhood home and heritage I call my BoJon Heritage and am proud that both of my parents were of Slovenian heritage. It is kind of a journal for my kids, grandkids and great grand little ones too. Thank you for including me here. Blessings, Anne
