What Home Improvement Projects Are You Working On This Spring?

Home Improvement Projects Spring

It’s hard to believe that Spring is nearly upon us – but the arrival of Daylight Savings Time and longer, brighter days are just a few of the signs that it’s true!

For homeowners and renters alike, that means it’s time to turn our attention to our beloved homes to see what items around the house need freshening up and fixing up!

If you’re like us, chances are good that the list of things you need to do around your home and the list of things you’d like to spruce up is rather lengthy!

That’s why, this season, our first priority is taking care of a few essential items around our home!

A few years ago, my family moved into a beautiful older home that has never been updated or remodeled. As a result, due to age, wear and tear, our home is at a point in its life where certain things are simply starting to wear out!

As a result, lately I’ve been finding myself spending more and more time in places like PlumbTile exploring the world of home improvement accessories and picking up ideas to improve my home!

Belo Faucet

A beautiful flower is the perfect backdrop for this stylish faucet from Belo!

One of the things my husband and I recently found ourselves looking at was new kitchen sinks. Did you know that over time, your kitchen faucet can stop rotating left and right between sinks? It’s really frustrating when you are trying to clean your fruits and vegetables or wash your dishes and your faucet refuses to turn! Fortunately, we found a solution. We ended up replacing the faucets, and now, everything is working beautifully once more!

Lighting

I love the simplicity of the Danish Pandul/Carl Hansen pull down suspension light!

Another home improvement project which is very important to us, for safety reasons, is lighting. Because of the age of our home, we have a lot of fluorescent lights in the house in hard-to-reach places (think extra high ceilings!) that make bulb replacement a nightmare. We are looking at lighting options that are functional, attractive and affordable. Thankfully, with so many lighting options available, it’s just a matter of time before we find the perfect solution for our home!

I am sure that we’ll be adding many more items to our list of things to do as we continue to survey our home.

What projects are you working on this Spring? Be sure to share your thoughts and ideas with us in the comments!

My son bought a house in a nearby town a few months ago so we could be close to stores, restaurants, etc. As soon as we sell the house we’re living in now we’ll be moving there. In the meantime the new to us house has to have a few things done. I’d like to repaint the inside and outside, and redo the kitchen and dining room.

That sounds like the perfect location for the two of you, Vicki – especially for the Spring and Summer months!
Have you picked the colors for your new home?
That’s always a fun thing to do!
