Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection: Books 1-3 – Audible Book Review & Giveaway

Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection

Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection by Barbara Venkataraman – Book Review

If you delight in delving into stories where you have the opportunity to test your wits and solve crimes, murders and other unsolved mysteries along with a reluctant yet highly competent protagonist, you are going to love the Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection by Barbara Venkataraman!

There are three stories in this cozy mytery collection and they all center around the adventures of Jamie Quinn – a divorce lawyer who we first meet in Book One, Death By Didgeridoo, when she is reeling from the death of her mother. During her downtime, she becomes pulled into a murder investigation when her cousin, Adam, a gentle soul with Asperger’s syndrome, is wrongfully accused of committing the crime.

You’ll meet one quirky character after another in this book – including her former client and sidekick, the womanizing private investigator Duke Broussard – who appear in Books 2 and 3 as well.

In Book 2, The Case Of The Killer Divorce, Jamie has returned to her law practice, but one of her clients in a bitter divorce battle ends up as a prime suspect in a murder investigation. As if this were not enough to keep Jamie busy, in her spare time, she begins to search for her long-lost father as well.

In Book 3, Peril In The Park, Jamie has a new love – an old flame from her past. Life is far from a picnic in the park for Jamie and Kip, however, when someone mysteriously begins to threaten Kip and their relationship. Could Kip’s life hang on the balance when he goes missing – and will Jamie be able to find him in time?

What I love about the Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection is that the stories are well written and fun – the characters are humorous yet people you relate to and cared about – and the mysteries keep you asking “whodunit” until the very end of the book!

Carrie Lee Martz, the Audible narrator, does a fabulous job of entertaining readers and bringing the stories and characters to life. The book is enjoyable to read but I particularly recommend the Audible version to you for listening as you go about your daily tasks!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
