Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!

Happy New Year and welcome to our week-long Wordless Wednesday Party at Create With Joy! Are you ready for a new year of photographic fun and story-telling, with a few new features sprinkled in for your pleasure?

This year, I’m participating in the 2017 What An Animal Reading Challenge. As I discover noteworthy books throughout the year, I’ll be sure to share my favorite animal-themed recommendations with you!

To kick off the year, I’d like to introduce you to A Dog’s Purpose – a book that has received acclaim as an IndieBound NEXT Great Read and Library Journal starred reviews, is taught in schools in all 50 states from Middle School to College Level, and is hitting the big screen on January 27, 2017.

There’s tons of fun stuff on the Dog’s Purpose website for children and educators to enjoy. In the meantime, here’s a few details about the book!

A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

a-dogs-purpose

Have you ever wondered why you’re here on Earth and what your purpose is in life?

Would it surprise you to learn that dogs ask themselves these existential questions too?

In A Dog’s Purpose, W. Bruce Cameron shares the heartwarming, humorous and insightful story of an endearing dog who finds himself being reborn as different dogs in different families over the course of several lives as he searches for his meaning and purpose.

Bruce and Tucker

Bruce and His Rescue Dog Tucker

As the author explores the unbreakable bonds between people and pets and the intrinsic value in every living creature, this New York Times and USA Today bestseller will find its way into the hearts of dog and non-dog people alike!

Be sure to pick up your copy of A Dog’s Purpose now so that you can see how the movie compares to the book when it releases on January 27!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from the publisher. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Awwwww I definitely have to see the movie. I’m a dog person for sure, but I’m trying to find a new one I’d like to give a dog a home that has none, but I’d like to get a little dog just for me… like a teacup dog or pug or my friend told me today about a bichon pooch and they are soooooooo adorable… I miss my dog soooooo much… 🙁

  11. That looks like a good read, Tsunami and Megallan. We think that doggies are here to show us how to live in the present, just like we cats do and to think with our heart. Doggies are very loyal and they love you unconditionally and their purpose is to teach us to be the same. We hope the book is available in our Country, we would love to read it!
Pawkisses for a Happy and Healthy New Year to you all and for a wonderful day 🙂 <3

A dear bloggy friend gave me the first book, this one based on the movie, when our youngest daughter lost her little Roxanne, a chihuahua rescue. It comforted all of us in my house.
