The Weight Loss Shift: Be More, Weigh Less – Book Review

The Weight Loss Shift

The Weight Loss Shift by Michelle Hastie – Book Review

Are you struggling to lose weight and keep it off? Are you tired of trying diet after diet and exercise after exercise regimen without long-lasting success?

Are you tired of tying your self-esteem to the image that you see when you look in the mirror, but aren’t sure how to gain a healthier mindset and a more balanced perception of who you are?

Do you realize that there’s more to life than food and drink – yet you find yourself consumed with what you’ll be eating and drinking throughout your day?

If so, author Michelle Hastie invites you to pick up a copy of her book, The Weight Loss Shift: Be More, Weigh Less, and begin to transform how you view yourself and your relationship with food!

The Weight Loss Shift is not your typical diet book: in fact, there are no recipes or food plans between its covers! Instead, think of this book as the game-changer that you need to get yourself in the headspace to tackle your eating issues once and for all.

Michelle doesn’t tackle basic topics that we already know, such as what to eat and not to eat (we all know that an apple is a healthier snack than a candy bar!) Instead, she focuses on helping us examine crucial topics such as how our subconscious mind impacts our perception of who we are and how we eat and the differences in how ideal and overweight people eat (even when both are eating emotionally).

Michelle then teaches us how to use this information to transform our thoughts and habits. As we do this inner work, we let go of the excess weight in our bodies once and for all.

The Weight Loss Shift is an easy-to-read yet profound book that is perfect for those of us who are struggling with weight loss and/or body image issues. What I like most about this book is that it’s not just theoretical – it’s down-to-earth and filled with homework assignments and tips so that we can apply the information as we read each part of the book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

My pleasure Michelle – you’ll be able to read a little then work through the exercises so you won’t even have to feel guilty about adding to your huge TBR pile! 🙂

  2. This looks like it would be a helpful book. I could literally “write the book” on what to eat or not to eat. But, I still struggle to lose and keep weight off. Definitely, the key would be a shift of perspective — pinning so that I can get a copy of the book. Thanks.
